You don't get to dictate what profits a corporation gets to make, Sock. The Oil companies? They are among the richest in America....which is why Republicans drop to their knees to suck off their..umm..profits.

The federal government has no authority to dictate what profit a corporation makes. That's fascism. They are federally regulated (except for the Texas grid) that means their profit is set by the federal government.
Which is also fascism.Part of the problem is the federal government is restricting fracking which drives the price of natural gas up.
Solar power is the most expensive method of generating electricity there is, watt for watt.Wind and solar have to be backed up by fossil and nuclear or hydro electric so it is more expensive.
Depends on the source. Different energy providers charge different rates.Texas energy costs are 10% lower than the national average.
What happens when the wind does not blow or the sun isn't shinning?
When the sun isn't shinning we won't have to hop around because our legs hurt from getting kicked in the shin.
But just so you know, when the sun isn't shining and the wind isn't blowing, there will be no life on the planet. But before the sun stops shining the planet will likely be swallowed up by the sun as it expands and slowly dies.
There is NOTHING wrong with unfettered capitalism.ThatOwlWoman said:Exactly what is wrong with unregulated, unfettered capitalism.
Not a closed system, Sock. New corporations and businesses start all the time. Nothing about capitalism destroys any business unless that business cannot compete due to price or poor product.Correct. Unfettered capitalism will only end up like the war of immortal warriors in "Highlander"; there can only be one.
Corporations will feed on each other only one remains. It's their nature.
No. It doesn't.
You are an idiot that doesn't know anything about reality. States may regulate utilities and restrict profits. The Federal government only regulates transmission from one state to another. The Federal government doesn't restrict the profits of any electric utility that provides power in a US state.
Does the sun turn itself off when the earth rotates?

We don't have any spikes? In fact, I'm getting a 10% discount for all electric generated from one of the numerous huge solar fields springing up around here. And these companies are making big profits. When do we say enough?
