The two party system is harming America.

Yep, you want to outlaw all opposition to the ruling democrat Reich.

Who is it trying to force radical change on the culture, Jarod?

The problem is they don't see the change as forced or radical. They think they know what's best for everybody.

Breaking up the two party system is in and of itself the answer to nothing.
It astounds me that people speak of a third party without making any mention as to where it would be situated ideologically.

If, God forbid, it was situated right in the middle between Democrats and Republicans, that would leave us with THREE right of center parties.
I can't see ANY help from that.

Any third party that was actually viable would mean the end of meaningful presidential elections as nobody would get a majority of electoral votes.
All elections would be decided in the House of Representatives.

That's how we got Rutherford Hayes who ended reconstruction and caused Jim Crow and the Ku Klux Klan..

Even if the electoral college were displaced by a straight popular vote, there still would be no majority winner and the House would still choose the president.
Imagine the president that the current house would choose.

Marxism is "right of center?"

Just can't take you seriously, Nicky.

We need reform to get beyond this system, no parties or more parties, but having two is producing poor results.

We have two likely nominees who are both to old for the job, who offer limited fresh ideas and who do not represent much from the newer generations. The infighting is stalling out the government and the Republican thirst for what they claim is vengeance is weakening the rule of law.

Its gotten to the point that if prosecution of Trump is unsuccessful it will be clear that Presidents and former presidents are above the law and would be free to do almost anything they chose.

Is rank voting the solution? Maybe reforms that help a third party get some traction?

Any ideas?

I had to step outside and see if the giant asteroid was about to hit, or if Jesus was making the second trip. Uber lefty Jarod has lost faith in our sacred “democracy”!

Hmmmmm....democracy isn't sacred, then? Seems like the last part is sarcastic there, unless I'm misinterpreting.

Also, I didn't know democracy had become an uber-lefty thing.
