Simply protesting is not enough to warrant shooting someone. If they were protesting without a permit, fine. Arrest them. If they become violent and start attacking police, have the snipers take them out.

There are no both sides. The Trumpys attacked the capitol to stop the electoral college certification. The other side is the police and politicians fighting for their lives. Over 140 cops were injured. What is the other side of that? Trumpys trashed the capitol crapped in the people's building. They busted down doors and windows. They stole whatever they could take. What is the other side? Is it because Trump told them to do it?

You know that old saying "If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail"? That's some of our more bloodthirsty Reichwingers, only their "tool" is a gun. Unless, of course, it's one of their own violent attackers who gets capped.

Those should be handled locally, with exceptions.

The equivalency is, it was overtaking a federal (capitol) building.

Yes, pulling a fire alarm is exactly the same as storming the Capitol, injuring over 100 police officers, stealing everything not nailed down, crapping on the floor, breaking and entering, etc. etc. etc. :rolleyes:

Whether it was insurrectionists or violent protesters, if they break the law, arrest and try them. Which is exactly what happened in both the J6 insurrection, and this protest.

I didn't say it was. I said those who did no damage, who were just there. Wouldn't you expect the same sentences for those protesters too?

Again, it was no insurrection. It was a bunch of unarmed and unorganized idiots. And then they left...
