U.S. Bases, Troops Attacked in Iraq and Syria on Thanksgiving Day

They are being attacked every day, more each day, and by boy is to be there in three weeks.

I am outraged at my country.

Congress authorized the President to put troops where ever he feels there are terrorists in the Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001. For 22 years now, the President has had that power.

There are few troops in Syria, but there are special forces/drone bases to allow attacks on terrorists. We are not seeing the number of American deaths that past Presidents have had, because these outposts are tiny, isolated, and well defended.

If it is illegal for troops to be there now, it would have been illegal for trump to have them there.

Besides, trump did not order all the troops out of Syria. he ordered the troops that were supporting the Kurds out, which released a huge number of ISIS terrorists. he kept a small number of special forces, and drone support troops in Syria. They are still there.
