Yep, Coakley vs. Brown, definitely makes the politics of Health Care Reform nastier.

Me:

Are you of the camp that the 'rats should push health care through in
spite of the political earthquake in the Gay State? That would be my
preference, as it would ensure the defeat of many Democrat candidates
for decades.

He:

Ha! You would have to look at the political cycles. If Republicans come out
ahead in the unlikely event that Health Care actually gets enacted, they
will reliably screw things up even worse and then get kicked out again soon
thereafter. Then, everyone will get mad at the Democrats and the
Republicans will get back in. Too bad partisanship is the order of the
day--the Congress used to at least get important business done despite
differences of opinion.

Since liberal 'rats are emotional creatures, they distort or outright lie about the facts (kind of like when you claimed that I had '[deleted]') and forget that the last time they screwed up this bad we ended up with Reagan, tax cuts, reduced regulation, The Newt on Clinton's Ass, and the longest period of economic growth in modern history.

Since you're a gentleman though, I know I'll eventually see an apology and acknowledgment of The Truth, albeit after a long period of nursing the bruises from this latest political thrashing.
