The Car of the Year.............Is Electric. MAGA soils diapers.

It's not about whether or not they are for everybody. The issue is two fold. First no can cite one significant advantage for the owner to owning an EV. Second and related to the first, these things are being hyped and replacing ICEs even though there are no significant advantages to the owner and we lack the infrastructure for it. All this does is lead me to believe this is about some people getting richer while the rest of us get fucked. Again the govt has never had to force people to buy iPhones have they?

By your definition they force you to buy both gasoline and ICE vehicles because if you pulled back all the world wide subsidies those industries have got, and bail out also for ICE Auto, the costs would be massively higher. So the gov't steps in and fucks you using taxpayer money so their rich shareholders can get richer.

The gov't never had to subsidize Android phone and make people buy them that way did they?

QPeeeeee, I do not like them and I will not drive them. What I dislike more is the government telling me I have to own one in the future. Happy now? Derp, derp, derp!

Ya nobody cares. Good for you if you do not like them and do not like chicken or do not like pizza. No government will tell you, you have to have one in the future. So be less of a derp.

In fact, an idiot like yakuda is unreachable. It has been demonstrated that EVs have far less maintenance. You drive off in the morning with a full charge. You do not have to look for a gas station and pump your own gas in the rain or snow. They are quiet, cutting noise pollution. They do not need mufflers , oil changes, or filter changes.Ther are clear significant advantages to EVs. Another one is environmental pollution being slashed.

QPeeeee, better check the states that are mandating EV's. Derp, derp, derp!

Morons like Yagina have already decided that EVs are bad so anything good they read about them, they conveniently ignore or claim 'fake news'. It helps them sleep at night on Planet Delusiona.
You just mentioned many advantages above. But there's also the instant torque performance that gas cars just can't come close to.
I love having someone as a passenger in my EV who's never been in an EV. I give it juice and watch them sink into the back of their seat and laugh at the look on their face. All this power from a little motor you can pick up in your arms.

EVs are clearly better. The right doesn't like them because they've been indoctrinated by Big Oil and the Republiclowns that gas is good.

I have never supported subsides or bail outs. There is no such thing as too big to fail. Besides all this bullshit you still haven't shown what significant advantage there is to purchasing an EV for the owner.

That is not my job. People can choose what they want and i know many people who have Tesla's and other EV's and love them.

It has been repeated in this forum many times that at the current stage of the technology it is ideal for most city commuters. Especially as a second car.

The vast majority of the population is driving work, home and errands around the city for the vast, vast amount of their driving. An EV is ideal for that.

That can all be done with a ICE. There are no significant advantages to the owner an EV. It may be convenient but it's not an advantage over an ICE.

If a person were to choose only one vehicle for all their transportation needs it's likely not going to be an EV unless they live their entire life in a relatively small area

Then why are car manufacturers building EVs and people around the world buying EVs in record numbers?

Why do some people buy microwaves or air fryers or toasters or toaster ovens when all they do can be done with their stove?

These are the deep questions that trouble YakudaDerp?

Yagina is just trying to convince himself EVs are bad because he can't handle being wrong. He totally ignores the EV sales records because they prove him wrong.

ELON MUSK REVEALS DETAILS ABOUT TESLA’S NEXT-GENERATION MODEL ON INVESTORS CALL: ‘UNHEARD OF IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY’

https://apple.news/ArYRRNDDASeWKehSbmCIL_A

Axios reports that the $25,000 vehicle will be a small, affordable EV.
“The high-volume, low-cost smaller vehicle is actually much more conventional,” Musk told investors of the new car’s design. “We’re doing everything possible to simplify the next-generation vehicle in order to achieve a units-per-minute that is unheard of in the auto industry.
Tesla’s new, smaller vehicle will be “cool, but [utilitarian],” Musk said. “It’s not meant to fill you with awe and magic, it’s to get you from A to B. Still beautiful, but utilitarian.”
Because of its “more conventional” looks and features, the new vehicle will be easier and faster to build.
A $25,000 EV would be a game-changer for the auto industry and the fight against the climate crisis. Though demand for EVs has been booming in recent years, EVs remain pricey. As of July 2023, the average price paid for an EV in the United States was $53,469, over $5,000 more expensive than gas-powered cars. With a more affordable option on the market, more drivers could make the switch to electric, reducing the air pollution caused by gas-powered vehicles.

First they charge you big money for the E-Car...
Then they charge you to charge it. And if you're in a BIG hurry, they'll charge you more...

Tesla recently started opening its Supercharger network to outside EV brands, but the influx of more vehicles to charge has put a strain on the system. To help with the surge, the automaker has started charging congestion fees of up to $1 per minute at busy Supercharger locations. The fee is intended to get drivers in and out of the charging stations faster by making it more expensive to charge to 100 percent. Some Superchargers already charge an idle fee that discourages leaving a fully- or almost fully-charged vehicle plugged in for too long, and the new congestion fee starts once a vehicle has reached 90 percent.
