An Ohio man who assaulted law enforcement officers during the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and who the Justice Department said became a “one-man misinformation machine” as he spread lies online about what occurred that day, was sentenced on Thursday to four years and 10 months in prison.

The man, Kenneth Joseph Owen Thomas, 41, of East Liverpool, Ohio, had said online that his conviction in June on four counts related to his assaults on officers was a “huge win,” doubling down on his attacks that day, prosecutors said in court documents.

I have said MULTIPLE times that anyone that attacked an officer should get prison time. Anyone that trespassed and destroyed property should be fined and made to pay for damages and be given community service. Simple trespassers should get community service. So what are you whining about?

Which event, exactly, are you referencing? Anyone pepper spraying police should be arrested. Are you sure you're not confusing local jurisdiction with federal?

How many of the pro Palestine protesters showed their face in full view or bragged about what crimes they committed on social media? How many will get ratted out by their own family? You've got to take more into account than just acting like the justice system is one sided.

I always find it kind of funny when people assume families are all monolithic in terms of political views.

We will see. I wonder if the FBI will go all out and use geolocation to identify every protester carrying a phone and arrest them for trespassing? What do you think? You still have failed to address the single arrest.

I addressed my feelings about the asshole in the OP . Even a Democrat law maker who was a 1/6 and the DNC insurrection compared the two and said the DNC insurrection was scarier. So making the comparison of the two riots and how the rioters are treated is logical and appropriate no matter how much it gets your panties in a wad.
