Because saying it is a threat convinces voters it is a threat. When voters are convinced it is a threat, they fight against it, and it is no longer a threat. Kind of odd how that works. Basically, if voters think it is a threat, it is not. But, if voters do not think it is a threat, then it is a threat.

Anyway, I think our voters are bright enough not to fall in this trap.

Well, I am not a Democrat, but I know Democrats are a hell of a lot closer to reality than current day Republicans. MAGA Republicans are about a clueless a lot as ever has existed in our country.

Yey, Nifty. Yeah, I am up. During golf season, I am up and out of bed by 4 AM...and the habit carries over into non-golf season also.

MAGA is an insult to our country; to the world; and to human intelligence. It was an insult when Hitler espoused it by pretending he was going to make Germany "great again"...and it is even a greater insult with Trump pretending he wants to make America "great again."

Sure, it's why they say politicians love to run on issues rather than actually solve them. They would prefer the scare the voters approach.

I think he is setting himself as the alternative to Biden if there is a stroke or something, or to be a frontrunner in 28'.

In fairness, Biden is actually proposing to solve the problem of trump running for office, by defeating trump in that election.
