The irony of Teddies seat

Think about it; Ted Kennedy, the biggest proponent of Universal Health Care, died on the eve of seeing at least a shadow of his dream realized and it will be his seat that brings it down!

It must be so exciting for you that millions of working Americans will continue to be one serious illness or accident away from bankruptcy.

Yay.

What a buch of BS! Millions of Americans are always one something away from bankruptcy! The fact that millions of Americans are SAYING LOUDLY that this piece of stinking shit is not the answer and in fact is the antithesis of a real answer! You seem to be as deaf and dumb as the Obama Admin to that reality!

Fact is, I'm against the health bill as it is currently being proposed.

I'll just never get the giddiness of your side that we'll never see any kind of healthcare reform. Do you really think that people aren't hurt by the cost of healthcare, and the lack of good, affordable coverage? Are you deaf & dumb?

Most people in the country DO support universal healthcare, btw...

What I am tired of is the disingenuous lie repeated by posters like you. I don't know ONE conservative who does not want reform. There have been and continue to be all kinds of proposals for reform that dems have deliberately ignored. The majority of American's want reform. That is not a referendum on a universal health care initiative...ONLY a referendum on a smart plan that will lower costs and make it affordable.

The giddiness is directly related to the democrats BS pork laden, back room deals, behemoth that does not do anything other than burden the people, being defeated!

like I said you too are as deaf and dumb as the Obama Admin or you'd get it already!

I'm gonna be careful here, because I don't want to get you riled up, but I was commenting on her tone - not the current healthcare bill.

Count to 10 before responding. Try not to hurt your keyboard.

My tone, wiseass, has everything to do with the defeat of THIS abomination of a crappy bill! What's not to be giddy about???

Healthcare costs & denials of coverage for millions of Americans.

I'm not giddy about that.

AGAIN!

Oh yeah - all the many proposals and efforts by conservatives over the years to reform healthcare.

Were you even here for the past decade? You know..8 years of which the GOP (led by Dubya, who pledged to address the fact that the # of working uninsured was skyrocketing) controlled the executive branch, with 4 of those years controlling Congress as well?

All talk; no action. The GOP doesn't want to touch healthcare. No one else will after this year, either; it's '94 all over again. Another 3rd rail.

rush limbaugh doesn't want reform

IDK Rush Limbaugh. I do know that he is a HUGE opponent of Obama Care, just like millions of other American's. Regardless of the hair you attempt to split here, reform is not the problem, it's the dems idea of reform that is the problem.

The fact that reform is neccessary is not the argument, it's the type of reform that American's are fighting...

The repubs in congress have been blocked every step of the way from participating in real reform that might actually help American's save money and reduce costs.

we will never see any kind of health care reform so long the liberals consider the only reform worth doing as a single payer universal health care system......
