I have noticed the most recalcitrant global warming deniers are septuagenarians and octagenarians not long for this world, and just don't give a shit if their climate denial project harms their grandkids.

After the planet has been relentlessly heating up decade after decade, it's ridiculous to come on an internet message board and holler:

"0.7 degrees C per month is nothing to worry about, folks!"

Agreed. I've made the same observation. It's been over 30 years since Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth lectures began (the movie was 2006). I've watched the fight online since it became highly politicized, especially after the 2000 election, and less about the science.

This dovetailed with the increasingly anti-science Republican Party that was defunding public education in favor of vouchers for religious private schools teaching Creationism as "scientific fact".

Agreed Gwonda and others are ridiculous, but, as sane, intelligent and educated people can see, Gwonda and his alt-Right ilk are not sane, intelligent or educated. They run on emotion just like the far Lefties.

When you've been ordered what to think for 30 years by rightwing media personalities, their egos may prevent them from walking their denial back, even when it slowly dawns on them they may have been wrong about global warming.

Which, if true, indicates they are Sheeple who are simply following the flock.

From what I've observed, many are not that stupid, but they do seem to have such weak, fragile egos that they, like their hero, Pedo Don, they are afraid to admit error as you pointed out with their failure to walk back denial.

It is not possible to measure the temperature of the Earth, Sock. No gas or vapor has the capability to warm the Earth. You cannot create energy out of nothing. You are STILL ignoring the 1st law of thermodynamics.
