I read the race results in the paper every day and don't remember any of those stories.
Must have all happened at obscure little fairgrounds tracks.

Leaders like Strom Thurmond, Robert Byrd, George Wallace and their segregationist pal, Joe Biden, all became White Libs.

The KKK's last hurrah was in Chicago, when in 1977 with the aid of the ACLU , they won a victory in the National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie case.
