WASHINGTON (JTA) — National Jewish organizations are calling on Jews from around the country to travel to Washington, D.C., on Nov. 14 for a mass pro-Israel rally they hope will rival major Jewish demonstrations in 2002 and 1987 in size and impact.

The March for Israel has three goals, according to Eric Fingerhut, CEO of Jewish Federations of North America, which is organizing the rally jointly with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Participants will be demanding the return of the estimated 240 hostages Hamas terrorists abducted during its Oct. 7 attack on Israel, Fingerhut said. They will also be calling for efforts to combat antisemitism, which has spiked worldwide since the attack. And they will be demonstrating their support for the unabashed backing Israel has so far received from both parties in Congress and the Biden administration.

Earl is one of our members who living in a different time and place, say Berlin in 1935, would have been fully on board with the emerging Jewish policies
 
Too many people in my own party support the Palestinians and it really bothers me a lot.

However, the Middle East is just one issue out of many,
and I disagree with the other major party on nearly every one of the others.

What I have stopped doing is looking at things in terms of "right and wrong."

I honestly can't remember "right and wrong"
carrying any water as a criterion at any time in my life--
which has spanned nearly eight decades.

All I've ever seen is
"who hates whom,"

so why are so many people too squeamish
to accept that reality?

Maybe we'd start getting real world solutions
if we starting looking into real world fixes.

I personally prefer partition to genocide,
but if I were expecting to be around much longer,
I'd prefer almost anything to the shit show we've got going now.
