The USA has not been sold to China. They own some of our debt, but that predates the Biden Presidency. That debt is just a promise to pay them in Dollars, which we can print easily. It would do a number on our economy, but it would also do a number on their economy.

Biden is raising our defenses against China in a huge way, so you have no point there.

Well then it is worth remembering that trump raised the trade deficit by nearly 25% by increasing the price of manufacturing inputs, and decreasing manufacturing investments through trade uncertainty.

What are we giving China for their goods. Pieces of paper that we have sole control over its value. We can take any of it back any time we want. It would hurt trust in our economy, but it would hurt trust in their economy too.
