Hakeem Jeffries rejects Squad member's 'ethnic cleansing' claim: 'Israel is not engaged in genocide'


Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., hit back at "Squad" member Rep. Cori Bush, D-MO., on Tuesday after she claimed Israel was committing "ethnic cleansing" against Gaza following the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer asked the Democratic House Majority Leader to respond to Bush's statement after noting she was receiving bipartisan backlash over her statement.

"Israel is not conducting an ethnic cleansing campaign. Israel is not engaged in genocide. Israel was brutally attacked in the most horrific way on October 7th. It has resulted in the largest loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust. And Israel is in a position where it is responding and going after Hamas. That is a necessary and urgent project for it to complete," Jeffries said.

He added that they were also going to make sure Palestinians received humanitarian assistance...

Exactly, Fox has a big push to convince the lemmings Hamas is Biden’s fault and the GOP is the true friend of Israel, of course, there’s little mention of the “very nice people”

Politics are funny. Last week Jarod started a thread mocking Republicans for not being to pick a Speaker by saying we couldn’t pass a resolution condemning Hamas.

Now they have put that resolution together and it’s causing a huge fight within the Democratic Party because not everyone is on board.

It was actually very Trump esque. He “owned the Repubs” with the post but didn’t actually think through how his party might react to it.

I never said that. I said following the Democrat party today is like Jews following the Nazi party in the 1930s. (Pretty self destructive) Only time will tell if I am right or not. But remember Trump was on Israel's side and is very well liked in Israel. Trump helped Israel make peace with the Abraham Accords. Trump made Israel's enemies poor. Biden has been trying to make Israel's enemies richer. . Biden wouldn't even have Netanyahu to the White House as show of support.

OK anchovies If Iran was too poor to fund Hamas and if Iran was afraid of the US would Hamas be more likely or less likely to start a war with Israel?

And was the GOP in charge when the Abraham Accords was signed or the party of the Jackass?

And did more Republicans vote to condem Hamas or more Democrats?
