The Donald obviously knows how to deflect criticism or questions; throw out the story with a preferential spin. In the link below he spins why Melania isn't on the trail with him.

I wonder how much it cost The Donald for Melania to do that interview? Obviously he's not willing to pay the price for her to accompany him on the campaign trail. LOL

Former President Donald Trump explained what concerns his wife has about his 2024 presidential campaign at a rally in Iowa over the weekend.

Donald told the audience at his Sunday rally in Sioux City, Iowa, that former first lady Melania Trump doesn't like his theatrical bits and dancing because she doesn't find it "presidential."

While trying to impersonate transgender athletes, Donald broke from his rant to ask if he should keep going, noting that "Our first lady hates it."

"She says, 'Darling, I love you so much, but this is not presidential when you do the weightlifting, this is not presidential, or when you do the swimming thing, it's not and you know, I understand, or when you dance off the stage,'" he said while pretending to lift up a barbell.

"She said, 'Darling, I love you, I love you, but this is not presidential! You don't dance off the stage. This is not presidential,'" Trump continued. "I said, 'Look. We got a year to go. Everybody loves us. I love everybody. The country's going to hell in a handbasket. Let's do a little dancing."...

...But while Melania may not like it when her husband pulls out his dance moves on stage, she's expressed support for his campaign in the lone interview she's done since he announced his third White House bid.

"My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again," she told Fox News in May, adding that they "look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength."

Aside from that interview, the former first lady has remained largely out of the public eye. Many observers have pointed out that she's been absent from her husband's side during his campaign appearances and various court proceedings, including his four arraignments this year.

Most are demented geezers, but they ain't dead. They certainly missed seeing the hot chicks, both Melania and Ivanka, even if they only talk about it among themselves.

I had read a transcript of this yesterday. At one point, he claimed she said 'Sir, I don't like...' He quickly corrected himself and changed the lie to 'Darling'.

She refers to him as neither, I'm quite sure.

It's very telling that he believes she is the First Lady, though.

Freudian slips are fun. People who speak off the cuff as The Donald are much more likely to have one or two per performance.

Meaning he truly believes he's still the President?

I completely agree. In fact, I have no doubt Melania's prenup renegotiations gave her the ability to lock him out of her private room. How many pictures has the public seen of their bedroom? None, AFIAK, because it would be bedrooms. LOL

My thought at first. Truth is, his minions do, but he's paying hundreds of thousands in lawyers fees to learn that he's not POTUS.

I think it finally set in.

Nothing he says at these Klan rallies is true. Nothing.

I'm guessing that since Stormy, she would never sleep in the same room as him ever again.

I don't believe trump ever sleeps. He sits up obsessing over what is being said about him on t.v./internet.

And his wife's heart belongs to someone else anyway.

He could easily end up on an extended stay in Georgia leaving Melania to roam Mar-a-Lago in her bikini.

In the good marriages people can and sometimes do disagree.

Donnie showed his love for America and our Constitution on 1/6. He showed his love for his own fans by throwing them all under the bus a few days later and by refusing to pardon any of them. Why some people trust him is a mystery to me.
