What "news" are you watching? CNN is mostly about "Israel at War" along with a lot of dead Gazans. I usually switch it off after 15 minutes then catch the local weather before moving on to recorded episodes of the previous night's talk shows.
It’s you, no network, nor infotainment channel is Trump 24/7, the wars are the primary focus of nearly all news sources
Plus Trump is a leading candidate for the Presidency, not only does he work to make it all 24/7 about him, but also, being a leading candidate, legal developments regarding him will be accented, has never been a candidate facing 91 felony charges

Internet, cable all. Oh there is coverage of the news but not one program doesn't have at least one Trump story.

Donnie says outrageous bullshit just to get on the news. News in America is all about making money from advertising. The more viewers, the higher rates that can be charged to advertisers. Ergo, the most outrageous shit is on the news and mundane things like youth groups helping old people is, at best, saved for a 1 minute bit at the end of the day.
Of course, in DFW, the news is the Rangers going to the World Series. W00t!
Not if they are relevant to what is happening at the moment, but coverage of Trump’s effort to gain the media’s attention, yes

He's only the "leading candidate" among Republican voters. For everyone else, especially the "Deciders", the Independents, not so much.
However, per the previous post about "the News" favoring controversial issues, it serves them best to play up Trump being "in the lead".

It's not just you. I'm generally a political junkie and I couldn't even tell you the charges against him. I refuse to pay attention to him or read about him, I'm sick of him.
It's a never ending cycle of the media chasing ratings and whatever you think about Trump, he delivers ratings. Throw in the fact you he has a number of supporters who will follow him to the end of the Earth and a number of people who hate watch him and can't quit him and it creates the current environment.

Thankfully NBC Nightly News hardly mentions him; their focus lately has been on the Hamas attack and other news. But yes, I am sick to death of the orange blubber.
Really, in general terms: in NY-fraud, in Florida-knowingly possessing classified documents illegally, in Georgia-participating in a design to invalidate lawful elections, and in DC-a little more difficult, but I’d say again taking part in a conspiracy to disrupt Congress from executing its Constitutional duties

Trump's court cases are of historical significance. The prick created a huge election lie. He tried to get states to reverse fair and honest election results. He cheated on taxes and lied to get loans. If America survives him, the history books will be dedicating chapters to him and how he fooled so many people. He is simply the greatest threat to the existence of America since the war of 1812. In that war, the Capital was burned down. Trump's followers tried to destroy the capitol.
You are living if an important historical era. It could be the last one. Sorry, you cannot get interested in it.

As you know the old adage for the news has always been if it bleeds it leads. Trump is being swamped with so many charges the media can't help but cover it. Of course Trump goes out of his way to stay in the spotlight.
