I don't watch videos because they are usually selectively edited.

I'd like to see transcripts of all comments, but I'm pretty sure none of them can admit that Israel has a right to strike back.

That makes sense. It would explain why they would have a beef with Omar. Yes Israel does have a right to strike back, but what about the innocent Palestinians? For how long? Where? And so on. Like she asked in the video.

Yes. They would have credibility if they spoke intelligently about a very complex issue.

Especially given that they hold positions of power in the U.S govt.. They should command respect instead of screeching generalizations.

Because vast majorities of Americans really know very little about the history here, it's easy for the Squad to go overboard citing atrocities on one side and ignore everything else.
 
The nature of American politics is that we actually get very few choices,
and the very best one almost always brings very bad baggage with him/her/it.

I couldn't disagree more with anybody asking Israel to show any constraint at all.
They could opt for a war of genocide against the Palestinians and they wouldn't be stepping on my toes.
They've just taken too much shit from them over the course of Israel's existence.

Foreign policy, however, is far from my first priority in choosing a candidate.

A candidate who supports most of my progressive ideals is ALWAYS going to get my vote,
even over a nicer person with whom I share no values on domestic issues.

Not that too many of those people are particularly nice.

It's a range of behavior, not just "ON or OFF". Much like Trumpers; some are deeper in the hole than others. Agreed that Tlaib is more radical than Omar, at least publicly.

Israel has a right to defend itself, however, the Palestinians in Gaza did not attack them. They are bombing innocent men, women, and children. Hamas left after the attack. Those who are suffering the wrath of Israel will not forget what they are doing to them. If Israel wants some kind of peaceful resolution, they should make important and sincere promises to the Palestinians. Then deliver them. Otherwise, they are creating a couple million more enemies who will want revenge.
