Trump certainly realizes the gravity of his legal troubles, but I doubt he is the least bit concerned with actually going to jail. He knows his army of attorneys and accountants will delay, postpone, and appeal any verdict and even Court procedures out beyond his life time.

In addition, Trump knows Americans don’t take the time to understand litigation and legalities, so if he can sell his legal problems as political witch hunts to a substantial portion of the citizenry it is going to make it all that more difficult for a Jury or Judge to come down with a harsh penalty, especially given the fact he is a exPresident. Trumps pursuing the verdict of public opinion more so than a Jury

Plus, Hurd was correct, Trump is running to stay out of Jail, which makes the 2024 election scary given the ends Trump went to in 2020 trying to keep power and this time he has had three years to plan

Yes, you have reasons, we all have reasons to be concerned about Trump's ability to skate through his legal troubles, with all of his money and support he gets for being the Corrupt CRIMINAL ASSHOLE he is, BUT KEEP YOUR FAITH IN OUR JUSTICE DEPARTMENT.

Their job has not been easy for the Justice Department, due to Trump hiding behind the office of the Presidency to commit his crimes.

We have to still believe that most people are good, and that the good people always win in the end, and most importantly that- CRIME DOESN'T PAY!

And the end is coming closer for Donald Trump. AND I AM GUARANTEEING THAT DONALD TRUMP WILL HAVE TO DO TIME- unless- as you said- he dies first!

She should have to spend lots of hard time in prison for what she did. In other times, she would have faced a death penalty. A few years of probation an a relatively small fine is bullshit.

They felt her value as a prosecution witness against Trump and her co-conspirators was worth the lighter than deserved punishment.

Well...she got off easy in exchange for her honest testimony. Powell is especially valuable because she was present with Rudy the Drunk in the Oval Office meeting where the crimes were plotted. I'm thinking she's got plenty of poop on Meadows too.

Obviously all roads lead to the flaccid orange moron.

I believe we're going to see virtually everyone eventually giving up the fight to save their own asses.

Meanwhile, holding on to the virtually non-existent chance that he might somehow get reelected is the only thing that keeps Trump going and maintaining what for him, passes as some semblance of sanity.

But it was clear, that while she was often put forth as the face, she was not one of the ring leaders and quite the opposite, she was one they would all gladly blame and point their fingers at.


A good Prosecutor will give deals to the dupes and henchmen to get leadership, so this is a good deal.

Fanni winning this first case is key to a whole bunch more cooperators turning before the next trial. I think there will be a rush to the cooperation line knowing there will only be a handful of spots.

That, and the fact that he's monetizing the election, and his court cases.

On the one hand he doesn't want to win because he never wanted to be POTUS. Not even in '16.

On the other hand, he HAS to win in order to stay out of prison.

Yes. Powell was willing to be the mouthpiece along with Rudy the Drunk, but they were hardly the ones making the decisions. I can't remember if Powell is facing defamation suits with Rudy?
The beauty of RICO cases is that even bit players are as guilty as the crime boss. Which is why the bit players will all fall in line eventually

And yes...as time goes on, the lottery tickets will all be gone as it isn't necessary for 5 people to affirm the facts presented by the prosecution.
