No shit. Did you really think a flu shot prevents flu? It can, but if you do catch the flu, the shot helps reduce the severity.

Your own UK link mentioned that the vaccinated are at less risk of hospitalization. FWIW, I think I've had COVID 3 times. One before Operation Warpspeed, and twice after. Both were just 3 days, with 24 hours of bedridden shittness. No hospital required, no long COVID.

You? I truly hope you don't get vaccinated for anything ever. Three guesses why. LOL

To keep you out of the hospital and overloading the health care system or dying from COVID. And that’s EXACTLY what happened during the delta variant period. Consequently, there were secondary, non-COVID deaths because people couldn’t access adequate health care in a timely manner.

My immune system seems to be other worldly, but I still get my Covid boosters. I don't typically get the seasonal flu shot, but I allowed them to give me the first dose of the pneumonia vax last year.

I do. I take vit. C and Zinc every day, which seems to be working. For decades. I live with a nurse who's had Covid 3 times and I have yet to get it.

I also hold my grandchildren when they have colds and I never seem to get sick.
I'm fortunate that I don't work in an office setting, which I'm sure helps a lot.

I am starting to see elderly people in stores wearing masks again. Probably a good idea. I have two elderly friends who just got Covid, and were pretty ill.

No hospitalization, though
