Biden blocks 6 Billion…

Finally. Took him long enough... The guy who thinks it is just good to give folks who fund terrorism access to billions had a sudden epiphany that maybe, just maybe giving them more money might be bad...

More? Are you saying he game them other money? When?

This is one of the stupidest posts I have ever seen.

I'll explain so even you can understand:

If I was going to spend $6 of my ear medication and fish food for my goldfish and I was saving it for that, then my mommy promised to give me $6 on Sunday to get the ear medication and a goldfish food, then I spent my $6 on a 1981-priced nickel bag and a McDouble because I was promised $6 from mommy to spend "earmarked" (see why I called it ear medication... yeah, planning there) for my ear medicine and fish food (medicine and food, like the earmark for Iran) I felt free to spend the $6 on weed and junk food for myself.

Now mommy decides that she wants to keep that $6 for her own McDouble and a 1980s priced $1 movie theater ticket and popcorn and doesn't give it to me. It doesn't mean I didn't spend my $6 on weed and a McDouble. Now I have to find $6 to spend on ear medicine, but it doesn't change that money is fungible no matter how much you "earmark" it.

The government of Iran was never going to spend $6 billion on aid for its people. Sheesh. You people will make anything up.

That baby talk won't work. The money is not fungible, period. Notice how not one red cent was ever used before the war started?

All money is fungible. You sound entirely ignorant of economic and monetary policy. Just because you say "period" doesn't change anything at all. I explained it slowly and carefully, and every bit of it was a good example made tiny for your brain to hold. I get that you don't want it to be, and if you squint real hard you even believe Mayorkas when he says the border is "secure"... but "Imagination" isn't a good enough reason to commit this kind of intentional public stupidity.

Ha Ha Ha! Iran may never get their money back now!

Oh, they will probably threaten to kill some American Hostages over this, but BIDEN DOES NOT NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS!

I like it when Biden said, "Iran.....Be very careful"! And with the American Armada just floating moments away!

I like Biden! I really do!

He is tough and funny…

Money is generally fungible, but for this to have ended up being a savings to Iran, they would have had to have been intending to spend the same amount of their own money for the aid. I’m almost certain they were not planning on doing that. Iran does not have social programs for its people like we do.

This is entirely nonsense. Of course they were. Where do you think they get the stuff? We have sanctions that deny them spending on other things, so they budget it for that stuff and then use fungibility to spend illicitly elsewhere. Basically, like a food stamp recipient giving away food stamps for 50 cents on the dollar so they can buy beer...

Giving them access to $6 Billion more would only get them shuffling what they were going to spend on "food and medicine" away to more fun and enticing items... America gets to watch them spend that $6 Billion... while they take the $6 Billion they budgeted and spend it elsewhere.

At least you don't pretend that money isn't fungible, that's the second stupidest thing I've read today. (I had to read TDAK's racism nonsense makes me sick).

Actually, they only had to intend to spend some money that they could divert away because of the $6 billion promise. Any money they divert, even if it is less than the entire $6 billion would be more to spend on things like pretty rockets to gift Palestine for Rosh Hashanah gifts.

So, if they planned to spend $1 Billion, then diverted that because they were promised $6 Billion, the fungibility of money still is in play.

Don't get me wrong, he finally made the right decision. Better late than never is what I say in this case. Still better would be not to give a terrorist funding regime any access to cash you don't absolutely have to give them.

Hamas has NOT been saving up money for other priorities and suddenly feels free to now spend on terror. Immediately after Hamas got control, they started diverting all money to war to the detriment of the people.

So they do not suddenly have money to spend that they did not have before. That is not how it works.

Let's play in your magical world where Hamas didn't admit that Iran funded this mess... Okay, that's long enough to spend on imaginary worlds of wonder.

Now, your post here has made us all stupider for having read it, it shows you do not comprehend the conversation us adults are having today.

The reality: Hamas notes that Iran funded this mess. Iran had money that they spent on this, and I believe that promising them access to billions, even putting the money into an escrow account and changing the rules so the US would not punish the banks that were going to do this, played a role in where they spent money they would otherwise have spent on "medicine and food" as allowed by our sanctions.

Anyway, I'm glad that this team of idiots who run the puppet show in the White House finally decided to do the right thing and not give Iran money for ransom.

Well, we got our hostages back didn't we?

Go BIDEN!
