I get that nobody is "innocent", however I understand that one side has ceded the moral high ground to Israel, and they almost rhyme with "hummus". Again, saying that Hamas are Palestinians is not saying that All Palestinians are Hamas, that's your own "special" thing, a strawman of the worst kind. It's always easy to argue with a strawman you create, you can even dress them up as clowns.

However, Hamas is the elected government, and their actions as the elected government do reflect onto those they represent even as it would on us had our government acted in the fashion I described.

Now, do I think that means Israel should act as they have? That it's open season on Palestinians? Absolutely not. As I said earlier in the thread, Israel will work to minimize civilian casualties, they will warn folks (have already done so) and will still work to minimize civilian casualties. However Israel has every right to make war on those that make war on them, and our government is in full support of them right now. Now you can call up the puppet show in the White House and tell them you are mad about it, but yelling at the strawmen you create will not change anything at all.
