Israel was caught completely by surprise, Israeli critics are attributing a lot of the fault to the disarray in the Government caused by the turmoil in the right’s effort to dominate. Should be a warning sign to America
Evidently there is quite a bit of turmoil in the military due to Netanyahu's taking over of the courts. It seems the citizens are rebelling against mandatory service, and internally the military is a mess.Israel was caught completely by surprise, Israeli critics are attributing a lot of the fault to the disarray in the Government caused by the turmoil in the right’s effort to dominate. No. Hamas launched a ground invasion as well as the rocket barrage. They damaged or destroyed many of the iron dome launchers in the process making the rocket attack more effective.
:big think:
My guess is system overload. Throw a shitload of missiles at any system and some are bound to get through. This is why both the US and USSR missile arsenals were so large; they anticipated some would fail.
Do you remember where you heard this claim?

It's pretty obvious from what happened that had to be the case. The second way they did it was by firing so many rockets at once the system was overwhelmed.
OMG.
I can see now how you manage to stay so ignorant.

It was collapsed by being overwhelmed...Israel never expected that HAMAS could launch so much in such a short time.
