On Tuesday, he ordered former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to “immediately” vacate her Capitol hideaway office by Wednesday, prompting her to condemn him and express that his decision was a “sharp departure from tradition.”

According to Politico, an email was sent to Pelosi’s office on Tuesday telling her that the “room will be re-keyed” and reassigned for “speaker use.” Additionally, a spokeswoman for Democrat Representative Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) told the New York Post that Hoyer was also asked to vacate his Capitol hideaway office on Wednesday.

This was one by a temp speaker who can only open the house and say adjourned. It looks like he did McCarthy's bidding. Kevin wanted Pelosi and the Dems to save his speakership. When they did not, he blamed them. He cannot keep his own party together. They adjourned because according to some Repub members, staying would have ended up in fistfights. The Reds cannot govern themselves.

She gave Hastert a larger space than her own "for as long as he wanted". It's not just one office per speaker there's multiple spaces within the Capitol that can be given at the speakers choosing.
