NYC mayor's top advisor calls on feds to 'close the borders' to stop flow of migrants

A top advisor to Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday called for the federal government to “close the borders” in order to prevent more migrants from coming to New York City. “We need the federal government, the Congress members, the Senate and the president to do its job: close the borders,” Adams’ senior advisor Ingrid Lewis-Martin said during an interview on PIX11. “And until you close the borders, you need to come up with a full-on decompression strategy where you can take all of our migrants and move them throughout all of our 50 states.” Lewis-Martin’s comments marked an escalation in the rhetoric from the mayor’s office surrounding the city's migrant crisis. City officials estimate more than 116,000 migrants — primarily asylum-seekers — have come to New York City since April 2022. Lewis-Martin said more than 61,000 migrants remain under the city’s care.

They bragged about their compassion with their open borders and sanctuary cities.

They called those who wanted secure borders and sovereignty, racists.

Now, they are begging Biden to close the borders after he allowed eight (8) million illegals to cross. This is more than the individual population of 38 states.

Regarding the tears of progressives, NIMBY liberals' tears are among the sweetest.

He ought to call for Abbott to stop pimping innocent people by shuffling them like Nazi trains off to strange places so he can score personal political points, and when the opportunity occurs, he’ll tell everyone he is a good Christian.

If Adams was the scumbag he was he’d ship all NYC homeless to Texas claiming Texas boast it was the place to move for opportunities, but he is not

Most prefer to go to the big cities, NY, Chicago, LA…you do not seem to realize that they are being treated better than our veterans.

Wait a minute, so you are saying Abbott asks each one where they want to go before he ships out to the same two or three cities? And DeSantis asked all those immigrants if they wanted to go to Martha’s Vineyard?

And if you consider living on the street better than your understanding of reality is warped, and please, no already debunked narrative about some old vet on SI via Murdoch being thrown out of an apartment to make room for immigrants

Fact is if these illegals' want to be in USA....last time I checked NYC is in the USA....than Texas can and should ask where do u want to go? NYC Chicago etc...where is any family member if one says cousin in NYC well thats where they go

Here is an idea keep them in Mexico till they are fully vetted and approved to enter...once approved they go where ever they may have family members or the best job opportunities
