Zero Emissions ??

This might be hard to escape in time.

More like it might be impossible to escape at all. The fire is on the roof of the vehicle and that spray of incendiary material likely burning metal bits, would severely injure anyone hit by it running out of the bus. It's as if they designed it to be deathtrap for passengers in the event of a battery fire.

Sounds like an inherently dangerous design. Think about if it was full of people some with mobility issues. :whoa:

It's a deathtrap if the battery detonates like it did in that video. You flee and are hit by that shower of burning metal and you are either killed or grievously burned and injured, or you don't flee you die in the bus. Mounting the battery pack on the roof was insane. Oh, the smoke from lithium battery fires is highly toxic too. Among other horrifically nasty chemicals released is hydrogen fluoride that forms hydrofluoric acid with water...

Flow cell is the answer. Long range and not flammable or toxic.

Those bus contracts were just white lib, crony corporate welfare. Most cashed out before the fires.

Anything with large batteries in it is an inherently dangerous design. Even electric forklifts, which use lead-acid batteries (that also act as a counterweight).
Li-ion batteries are easily damaged, and vehicles using them can catch fire just sitting there.

If you're worried about emissions, forget about motorcars.
Try a Polish dinner of perogies and kielbasa.
