The former president skipped the second GOP debate in California and poked fun at the “job candidates” taking part during his own competing speech at a non-union auto parts factory.
Meanwhile, on the debate stage in California, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie cringingly gave Mr Trump a new nickname for skipping the event: “Donald Duck”.
The event also follows a series of legal blows in the multiple criminal and civil cases against him, with a New York judge shutting down his abilities to conduct business in the state after finding that he falsely inflated his wealth and assets as he built his business empire.
A federal judge overseeing a case involving his alleged attempts to overturn 2020 election results also has rejected his attempts to force her to recuse herself.

Oh, I don't know about that. The Republiclowns are the laughing stock of political parties.
A canned comment, just like so many others in that “debate”, if that’s what you can call it.

Last night the RNC tapped Univision— a channel whose mandate is to be a more brainwashed version of MSNBC in Spanish— to CO-MODERATE the GOP debate.
Here are public Secret Service logs showing their moderator, Ilia Calderón, making MULTIPLE visits to the Biden White House.
3 times in 8 months, actually.
ONCE alone with JOE BIDEN.
And TWICE with Joe Biden's Propaganda Czar and Chief of Staff for the White House Press Office.
Their Fox moderators even openly called Hillary Clinton "AMAZING!" just days before while embracing her ON-STAGE at a Clinton Foundation event.
Either the RNC didn't bother to do basic research or they purposefully RIGGED their debate against their own candidates and voters.
The RNC is an absolute disgrace.

Agreed. It was interesting to see several of the candidates point out Trump's absence, but Christie had the best line.
I cringed when I heard that soundbite. Christie's practiced one-liner was just - bad. Chris should stick to blocking traffic on the GW bridge and letting his staff take the fall for it. He sucks as a human and I hope he just goes away.
