Trump appears to be coasting along a smooth path toward the GOP nomination. He is favored by 54 percent of Republicans, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has dropped from being favored by 25 percent of Republicans to just 15 percent since May.

The man who was, at one time, thought to be the only figure in the Republican Party who could take down Trump has, according to one recent Fox poll fallen 47 percentage points behind him.

Despite facing 91 felony counts across four indictments, Trump's numbers across polls are not budging. In the WaPo poll, 53 percent of respondents said he is being held accountable under the law as anyone else would be, but 40 percent - including three-quarters of Republicans - say he is being unfairly victimized.

In my recent drive across rural NM and AZ, I saw a number of signs like these:

And, one of these in Show Low AZ

In looking up photos of that one I found there are dozens across the US.

Now, all I'm doing is saying what I saw without any political judgement or comment attached. But you have to ask why Biden and the Democrats have nothing like that sort of outreach.

Interesting. Too bad Trump will be in prison by Election Day.

Because we're not cult members.

New poll shows Clinton over Trump by double-digits

...

Meanwhile in the reality that is NOT polls,
Democrats keep winning special elections in battleground states

Elections are the answer to Trumpism, which aims to undermine the Constitution that protects our freedoms.

Yesterday, we saw the antidote at work once again, and in battleground states, in special elections for state House seats in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. Both victories were consistent with a 2023 national trend, with abortion-rights Democrats overperforming in the wake of the 2022 Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationally.

In New Hampshire, Democrat Hal Rafter flipped a GOP seat in the southern part of the state. Rafter won 56 percent to 44 percent in a district that Trump won by less than a point in 2020, 49.1 to 48.7 percent. Though it’s a small district, that’s a 12 percent turnaround....

...Signs abound that voters’ reaction to the loss of those rights could carry into 2024.

In Pennsylvania, the victory of candidate Lindsay Powell was also consistent with a larger 2023 trend of Democratic overperformance....

...Brent Peabody of the Center for a New American Security has tracked Democrats’ overperformance in more than 20 state elections in 2023. The party’s candidates have outpaced Biden’s 2020 performance by substantial margins.

Noting the same trend, ABC News reported that Democrats had “outperformed the partisan lean” by an average of 10 percent in an analysis of 23 special elections in 2023. ..

Cause anyone who swallows the message implied in such signs would never vote for a Biden anyways, plus, it is not his style to go negative or make it all about himself

I'm just pointing things out, that's all. Rural America increasing hates the increasing scope and reach of government and wants it gone from their lives for the most part, at least that's what I see.

Democrats aren’t a cult.

What’s funny is that Gardner doesn’t even seem embarrassed that they are marketing trump with a giant used car lot balloon. I’d use that picture to demonstrate how embarrassingly stupid trump supporters are. He considers it an affirmation. Weird.

It appeals to not low intelligence but NO INTELLIGENCE voters. I’d be embarrassed by that storefront.

You don't get it, do you? I really do not give a flying fuck about Trump. I pointed out some of what I saw in regard to him in rural NM and AZ where he is very popular. Yes, it's weird, but it's there too.
