Everyone knows that Trump is only three years younger than Joe Biden, and three years means nothing in a lifespan unless we’re talking about three years in the late teens.
We hear so much from Republicans about Biden being the “addled old one” who still looks good and in better shape than many Americans, while the guy — who makes middle-aged sedentarians look like Olympians — seems to be immune to age concerns.
After all, Trump has given us many reasons over the years to question his cognitive ability and physical shape, from drinking a glass of water with two hands to teetering down a ramp from a speech, and then he gave us a freebie last night when he talked about Joe Biden starting World War II.
Trump never did get around to nailing the year of the 1918 Spanish flu break-out (He always said 1917.) And then there is I.V. bleach infusion to kill COVID. However, the bleach thing might be related to having an I.Q. matching an overly air-conditioned room.
Joe Biden may not be as quick and spry as he was at 25 (are you?), so maybe he’s not as quick as he once was — but there’s a lot to be said for being highly intelligent and experienced.
We are comparing him to someone who often seems to be energetic enough that it’d be great to have a urine screening available.
Trump also suffers from being as smart as a fish. Trump could actually be 25, and he’d still be terrifyingly inept.
Trump, however, does have an explanation for why his age, at 77 years old, is not an issue at all, while Biden’s age is terribly important.
It’s an explanation that would warm Hitler’s heart.
He has good genes.
Axios has an exclusive that they gleaned from Kristen Welker’s first episode of NBC‘s Meet the Press.
Welker asked Trump if his age should also be a concern, and Trump said, “No” — while also demonstrating an I.Q. that rivals a ham sandwich. Axios reports that Trump answered:
“No, because my father lived much longer than that [age 93]. My mother lived much longer than that [age 88]. So genetically, that’s a good thing,” Trump said in an interview taped Thursday in Bedminster, N.J. — his first broadcast-network interview since leaving office.”
