I know the laws on tree-trimming along property lines in FL, even, bitch. STFU.
You can cut whatever's on your side of the property line up to the sky if you want to.
That's the law in Florida.
Not all gun owners are itching to murder people, but some are. We really need to do something about this. It goes beyond gun control, but does include gun control. The twitchy should just not have guns.
Simply be a good neighbor and things like this would never happen. You know what I would do, and HAVE DONE if I were to trim some trees, build a fence, ect ect? First thing I would do is go and talk to the neighbor,... physically SHOW him what I was doing, and WHY I was doing it. Do I have to do that? No,...sure dont. But you do it as a good neighbor should and it sure does prevent any problems down the road.
One thing I will say.......I live in a VERY touristy/retirement area. The land here is highly coveted for its beauty and many MANY large freshwater lakes. Almost every bad situation that arises from lot line disputes/ect ect seems to be caused by those who retire here from the metro areas of the upper midwest. The locals dont give a damn about a foot or two of land either way when it comes to lot lines. But the non locals will cause the biggest damn uproar over 4 inches ! How petty and stupid.

And we have had multiple shooting about people doing just that. If someone is trigger happy, knocking on his door will set him off.

Nobody should have guns. We kill 50,000 Americans a year with them. Many times that, are injured. Kids are going through active shooter drills in school, wondering why anyone would shoot them in classes. The psychological effects of guns are harming our citizens. Guns are terrible and should be heavily controlled.

Turns out this was a self-defense issue and the guy he shot was threatening him with a knife.
Would you rather the crazy guy had killed the old man with a knife?
Guns don't kill 50K people in America every year. Do you have some proof of that?
Guns are what allow you to go to the grocery store and shop peacefully without worrying about getting mauled by a bear or attacked
by a pack of coyotes on the way to and from. Dipshit.

I was wrong, he threatened him with a chainsaw.

We agree on that. Canada is able to have far more hunters per capita than the USA, and still not allow gun nuts to buy guns.
It is not just gun control, but also making clear that itching to kill is not acceptable.
It is impossible to be non-threatening to someone who sees everything as a threat.
