Progressives outraged by Sen. Kennedy’s reading of explicit kids’ books

Funny how it always comes back to

TRUMP!

But in any case, do you find these books to be reasonable reading for school kids, or not?

I already commented on this- No, when authors of books use explicit Sexual Content, of any kind, their books need to stay off of the shelves of Public School Libraries.

You may have missed my comment on this!

Thanks!

I rather doubt Charlotte's Web is still banned in Kansas considering that was something that happened in 2006...;)

I did miss it, I apologize.

Let's sum up, shall we?

Senator Kennedy is SO outraged over a book that, apparently, is only available in a couple of high school libraries, that he decides to read a sexually explicit passage from said book, and then right wing nut jobs post it ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA where any little kid can stumble across it, and right wing media blasts to any kid who might have missed it. Thereby exposing tens of thousands of kids to the very words they claim they are protecting them from.

The hypocrisy is off the charts. They aren't protecting children. They are demonizing anyone who is not a white male heterosexual Christian. It is truly disgusting, and they should be ashamed of themselves. Instead, they will pat each other on the back for 'owning the libs'.

This is why they must be removed from any civil discourse, shunned, mocked and ridiculed for their ignorance and hatred.

Did I get that right?

They got lucky! Thanks to the defense...

It turned out to be a great game. We're big J.J. fans down here in the little ole State of Texas, so naturally we are big fans of T.J. His first touchdown in the NFL may have been short but very sweet my friend. It was so good to see our old Super Bowl rivalries pull out this win last night. Highsmith's TD was just as sweet.

Kenny Pickett will learn, that he is going to have to be the one to resolve the offense problems, by having himself a little clinic with his receivers, as they are still not clicking as a team just yet. His receivers are still not getting enough separation they need, and are still not coming back to him to make things easier for him, so it may just be the communication between QB and his receivers in the huddle that needs to improve. All rookie and a lot of 1 year QB's go though this problem, especially when they keep changing the receiver corp every season. It's only game two, and they will figure it all out.

The ground game is the biggest problem for the Steelers, and that will also improve as the Offensive line improves. All signs of a young rebuilding era for the team.

But until they get their acts together, it sure is nice to see the Steel Curtain rack up 6 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 11 quarterback hits, and two TD's in the victory.

I listened to most of it on the radio. I had to work. I got home and turned on the TV for the last 8 minutes.
Yes. some good plays for both sides.

Yeah, we have confidence in Pickett, but not so much in the offensive coordinator. Our offense could be much better under different leadership.

Yes, the defense looked very good, those stats show it. At times (the right ones), though. We gave up some key plays for them. It wasn't one-sided. We could have easily lost.

I heard a lot of negative comments about the play-calling last night. At times it seemed like there were 22 players in the huddle! As the Steelers did look a little all too predictable for the Browns defense. I mean, first downs has to be priority number one! So if he ground game is not working, make some adjustments. They will! I look for the Steelers to make the right adjustments because I still believe in Tomlin to make them- even if he needs to be calling the plays himself!

And some of that may be to give the reigns to Pickett to do a lot more play-action than he has been given. LET'S TURN THIS MAN LOOSE TO RUN, AND give him a chance to throw to the receivers that are able to get open. I think it is time to turn him loose and see what he can do on his own.

It may just be me talking, but I believe he is a little frustrated because of the plays coming off of the sidelines, and not being able to use the instincts I know he already has to make things happen- NO MATTER WHAT!

Let's wind him up and let him go! Let's go Steelers!
