It turned out to be a great game. We're big J.J. fans down here in the little ole State of Texas, so naturally we are big fans of T.J. His first touchdown in the NFL may have been short but very sweet my friend. It was so good to see our old Super Bowl rivalries pull out this win last night. Highsmith's TD was just as sweet.
Kenny Pickett will learn, that he is going to have to be the one to resolve the offense problems, by having himself a little clinic with his receivers, as they are still not clicking as a team just yet. His receivers are still not getting enough separation they need, and are still not coming back to him to make things easier for him, so it may just be the communication between QB and his receivers in the huddle that needs to improve. All rookie and a lot of 1 year QB's go though this problem, especially when they keep changing the receiver corp every season. It's only game two, and they will figure it all out.
The ground game is the biggest problem for the Steelers, and that will also improve as the Offensive line improves. All signs of a young rebuilding era for the team.
But until they get their acts together, it sure is nice to see the Steel Curtain rack up 6 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 11 quarterback hits, and two TD's in the victory.
