What if the Government Made a List of Authors that cannot be published?

I intend folks to be able to use links to youtube the same way they do with articles and hold conversations about the content. If you don't plan on reading the articles or understanding the content then you shouldn't plan on telling everybody that you plan to remain forever ignorant but chimed in randomly because you like the sound of your keyboard when you type furiously.

so, another youtube forum

Indeed.

God do I hate that guy, but he is correct at one level. The White House should not try to coerce Private companies for doing legal things, and for expressing their 1st Amendment rights. His analogy fails but his point is solid.

Where were you when Ronald DeSantis actually punished Disney for expressing a political position against him? Oh, Thats right, you were defending DeSantis.

He's also correct that the courts ruled against the Biden Administration for violations of the 1st Amendment.

The state of Florida should not give Disney a competitive advantage of its competitors. DeSantis was right to eleminate that advantage Disney had. Stop crying about it.

You do not have to reply and thus prove you are totally ignorant on the subject, double down, triple down and then just keep talking. If you don't watch videos, there are other threads without videos, but then you also don't read articles. You seem to post randomly and without direction, almost like a President Biden scripted "presser" just before Karine Jean-Pierre says, "That's it for now!"

So? You need a court ruling to see a violation of the 1st Amendment? The DeSantis case is currently in court, but its pretty clear to me. Not to you?

True, but once given, the government cannot remove that advantage for the express reason that they publicly disagreed with the governor.

DeSantis was governor for 5 years before he did this and told them it was for having disagreed with his "dont say gay" rule.

I was pointing out that the courts didn't rule against it because the decision didn't limit their speech and wasn't done for the reason you pretend it was.

But hey, if you get the courts to say that it was a violation of Disney's free speech rights I'll happily tell you that DeSantis was wrong.

Nah, I just was pointing out that the courts weren't called in because it was not what you said it was... DeSantis was not even brought to court because even Disney knows it was not what you say happened.

If you think that is what it was, and you have evidence and standing, you can bring it back. We aren't relitigating this here though. If you want to start a Disney thread, start it. Disney's lawsuits are about contract issues, not about first amendment issues. Because even they know your version of events is simply and deliberately fantasy.

Wake up to reality.

Hmm.. "Immunity"... Geebus. What a maroon... LOL. Yeah, I was talking about the ones against the new district board. I didn't read about this one. I'll follow with great interest.

Oh, Jarod, I am sorry I said your version was "deliberate fantasy." I was wrong...

Said Damocles never!

But, regardless of what the court says, based on these facts are you okay with what DeSantis did to punish Disney?

I still believe what I said, that it was not done for the reason you (and apparently Disney) fantasize into being. I believe that the move was planned long before Disney ever uttered whatever phrase you think caused them to react. Though I think the move made by his attorneys to dismiss for "immunity" is absurd. They know that DeSantis isn't immune from constitutional questions.

You aren't immune to constitutional questions, DeSantis.

That is not what DeSantis said...

Yeah. But it is also still true. The plans were laid down long before the move was made, and I think his attorneys will be able to show that such was the case. The timing sucked and DeSantis, as I said back then, isn't perfect. I know I have no hope of being able to vote for DeSantis as the republican nominee so at this point none of that matters. I don't need to defend him and I'm not saying this to protect him. I just believe that you will see that these plans were in play long before the ill timed execution.
