Just after President Biden's stimulus passed, in a Press Conference, he praised state and local governments for committing to use at least $10 billion of the federal stimulus money to bolster their police departments. And he urged local leaders to keep the money flowing.

“My message is clear: Spend this money, Do it quickly before the summer, when crime rates typically surge.”

The $10 billion in spending included funds to hire additional officers, surge overtime payments, purchase police cars and gun-detection technology, and improve radio systems and training facilities. The Police Departments across America, used their own discretion on how they spent the money by what was in the best interest for their own Police Departments and Cities.

The City of Dallas received $355 Million in Stimulus funds and most of that money was spent on the Dallas Police and Sheriff Departments and our Jail systems here. A lot of it went towards the Fire Departments, Rescue Equipment, and Ambulance service.

Every city across the nation received Stimulus money to improve their City's Infrastructure that includes their Police and Sheriff's departments.

I just wanted to get the message out, that the Democrats are investing in Police Departments, and that this Lady in the news story learned the hard way that Police Departments need to be funded- NOT DEFUNDED as she once thought! She should have been the first one to admit she was wrong, before she further embarrassed herself by complaining about Black On Black crime. I would tell her myself, Lady do not blame that on Police Departments!

The MN lady and many other people just misspoke. We don't need police defunding; we need police reform. It's pretty obvious that the murdering of unarmed black people by the very people who are paid to protect them is a real problem and a tragedy.

That's a lie. I've advocated for reform - which is badly needed but not defunding of police. Your is just right-wing propaganda because a few people mispoke after the Floyd murder.

If we increase police funding they will be able to get a better recruit. Right now people who want to be police are down and the quality of recruits is down. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel now and that will create more problems in the future. That needs to change if we want more quality professional policemen and women.

So Little Lizard I guess the best indicator that I am not racist is that I get offended when you call me a racist like TDK. I have called him out more than once for his racism. I also tend to avoid a lot of his threads but I do post in occasionally some of them.

Image is everything! When I'm a bad image, that's on me. If my party has a legitimate image problem with my political adversaries, I'm not going to help that by ignoring it, denying it, condoning it, or being complacent with it. No Sir, I must always lead by example, and take criticism of myself and my party seriously and while I digest all of that, I must try and set a better example of myself and the party I represent.

Black on Black crime is a problem and a concern, even here in our own community. Perhaps a lot less than other areas of the country, but I cannot deny that the problem does exist. If I had a quick fix answer for it, I would feel better about it, but I do not have one. Nor do I think there is a political solution to the problem.

But, I am also "NOT" going to generalize an entire race of people or an entire political party, which happens to be my own this time, just because of some extremely bad examples that make up these crime statistics that seem to be out of balance along White and Black lines.

I am going to look to my Fellow Black Leaders of my party to help turn these Black On Black crime statistics around, because I truly believe that the Onus is on them to improve this through their leadership. I expect them to handle the situation by setting a better example or I would not vote for them in the first place.

I believe that the Democrats do have a lot of great Black leaders to help us lead ourselves out of this image problem, and I believe they do set Good Examples for their own people to follow.

I was wrong for attacking the News Boy! He was just posting a hard fact, one that I didn't want to hear, and I took it out on him.

Black on Black crime is a problem, and I 'm not going to make that better by trying to make light of it.

And I do not think throwing the problem up in my face, as if I had anything to do with causing it, is going to resolve or help the problem either!

Do you have any answers for how our nation lessons this problem?

I really don't want to just HEAR PROBLEMS, I'd much rather HEAR SOLUTIONS!

We need to hold the fathers accountable for the support of the children the sire. That way there would be fewer children with no fathers born. The absence of fathers in the home is a HUGE part of the problem. If you knew you were going to have to pay $500 a month for 18 years a lot more condoms would be used.

Legion, like Lionfish, was a troll. He had multiple socks but his behavior was such, like with Lyinfish, it was easy to pick out. Damo gave him a temp band for a 12B violation and Legion got so pissy he never logged back into his Legion account....then Lionfish appeared. LOL
