Will Meadows Flip?

Althea

Althea told me...
Given the very specific question that Jones wanted both sides to argue, I really thought Meadows would be headed to Federal court.

I guess not. So now it just remains to be seen if he flips sooner as opposed to later?

He's headed to prison.

He's headed to prison.
He'll flip. Given that this will be televised, I'm interested to see the oral arguments presented in response to Jones' question
Jones last week asked and received legal briefs from both sides about whether even Meadows is entitled to be tried in federal court if even one act mentioned in the indictment could be considered as falling under his job description
.

So none of the charges addressed actions that would be considered part of Meadows' duties? The judge seemed to give the defense a gaping hole to walk through.

Or the prosecution made a convincing argument.

For Trump, committing crimes is part of the job.

Judge Denies Meadows’s Request to Move Georgia Case to Federal Court

Georgia prosecutors leading the criminal election interference case against former President Donald J. Trump and 18 of his allies notched a victory on Friday when a judge rejected an effort by Mark Meadows, Mr. Trump’s former White House chief of staff, to move his case from state court to federal court.

I'm quite surprised at this ruling, as it seemed pretty easy to find ONE charge that might be construed as part of Meadows' official duties.

I figured that said charge could simply be dropped if one were found.

Judge knew Meadows was not acting as a government official.

I think his testimony ruined any chance the prosecution would get any value out of him flipping.

Meadows actions with the fake electors were clearly not a part of his job. As the judge correctly pointed out, the federal government has absolutely no role to play elections.

Disagree. Meadows was pretty narrow in his admissions.

He can certainly provide proof of a rather deep conspiracy re. Jan 6, and provide quite a bit of incite into the private meetings re. same.

I don't remember how many charges were brought against him, but the judge asked if only 1 were within the scope of his job, should the case be moved?
I haven't seen anything about the hearing yet today. I'll catch it tonight on the news.

Rumour has it Meadows has already flipped.

Trump is fucked. So many of his staff have already flipped on him. Trump is fucked.

Did I tell you Trump is fucked?

On cross he was severely impeached with an email about coordinating the fake electors after he testified that he had not done so.

Meadows has already claimed that he was working at the direction of trump, but I believe Meadows will offer a ton of insight into the plotting of the terrorst attack.

Yes...trump is fucked and that's why he's already working toward jury nullification every day.

I didn't know Meadows was on the stand? But the issue is whether or not he has even more damning evidence to spill

Not a lawyer, but I think Meadows is headed for prison. He'd best cut a deal.

This is where the Smith case might overlap. He's literally the fly on the wall during the plotting of the terrorist act, as well as what trump was doing the entire time the attack was going on.

Not sure it that's possible? Fed. cooperation to lessen State charges? Given that this is a conspiracy case, he no doubt has a lot of inside info regarding the discussions that went on between trump, Graham, and other criminals in Congress.
