Peter Navarro, a trade adviser to President Donald J. Trump, was convicted on Thursday of two counts of criminal contempt of Congress over his defiance of a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The verdict, coming after nearly four hours of deliberation in Federal District Court in Washington, made Mr. Navarro the second top adviser of Mr. Trump’s to be found guilty of contempt for defying the committee’s inquiry. Stephen K. Bannon, a former strategist for Mr. Trump who was convicted of the same offense last summer, faces four months in prison and is appealing his conviction, as Mr. Navarro has also vowed to do.

Wow. Four months for Bannon? As much contempt as I have for congress, I’d be facing life without parole!

There were, again, really no facts in dispute. The defense rested without calling a witness. It was just a waste of time, Navarro confessed to the crime over and over and over again.
 
It, as will they all, will be appealed, postponed, and delayed seemingly forever, and if Trump is elected, vanished, if not, most of them will die before any real end is seen
 
I hope this arrogant bastard gets the max in his sentencing in January, Navarro faces a maximum of one year in prison and a fine of $100,000 for each count.

He simply ignored the court orders. No reply. No show. He brought it upon himself. I hope he gets time. Judges take affront at people saying "fuck you".
