if you actually read the thread you would have seen even zappy said verse 8 was not as bad as verse 9 as verse 8 is not necessarily a death wish....as it could mean different things....yet you had to jump in and accuse me of splitting hairs when even zappy expressly stated there was a clear difference between the two verses.....

"May his days be few." How else in this world can anybody have "fewer days" except by dying? Both verses express this thought using different analogies. Please explain how "fewer days" means anything else, I'm all ears. Those people who co-opted this verse to express their anger are, IMO, CINO's (Christian in name only).

its not hair splitting you idiot....it is false to claim its 9 instead of 8, the verses are very different
My point was that,although verse 8 and 9 are different verses, they are seperate verses of the same Psalm.
A Psalm is defined as a poem or prayer, so it's doubtless that anyone who was praying from Psalm 109 didn't just read one or two verses. In all likelihood, they began at the beginning and eventually included verse 9 as they recited the enture prayer.
Quoting psalm 109:8 is just another way for some to feign ambiguity.
"Oh NO! We weren't praying for his DEATH, we were only quoting verse 8"
