When an officer tells you to get out of the car you get out of the car... you turn it off....you get out and you don't argue...you go into the store and settle the issue that prompted the Kroger employee to get the officers in the beginning... the minute that you put that car into gear it becomes a weapon... one officer had his hand on the window and the other one stepped in front of the car because the young woman was not only refusing to cooperate but being belligerent... she knew that with a warrant out for her arrest that she was in big trouble and she wasn't having it .. very unfortunately that's not her call.... and the minute that the car made contact with the officer he reacted... let's say he had jumped out the way... So how do things play out... very hard to get out of that parking lot by the way... only two exits...onto very busy streets..... it's truly a tragedy that she and her unborn child lost their lives... but that would not have been the case had she just followed simple laws that exist in Ohio.
 
The officers hand was on the window it was partially down when she decided to continue to refuse to cooperate and then try to leave... 2 lives would have been saved if she just had gotten out of the car... gone into Krogers and gotten everything taken care of... two lies that would have been saved if she just had gone into Kroger's and paid for what she wanted....

She was incapacitated by liquor and drugs in all likelihood.

That is by no means exculpatory, and I would never suggest that it is.

Not referring to this specific incident,
because I wasn't there and have no idea whom to believe,

but in general,

one thing an adequately trained law enforcement officer is supposed to have

is some knowledge of how to deal with incapacitated people in the least violent possible manner
that the situation allows.

She wasn't driving at the time

She was in a car with no tag and illegally parked and accused of theft

When she did drive she drove at a cop after disobeying a lawful order to stop and comply!
