Trump team cries about not being allowed in spin room

what a jackass. Says this debate is of no purpose and skips it, but cries that you can't be part of the post debate discussion.

Any conservatives that still stands with Trump and his idiot family are equally retarded

Agreed. I like Nikki. She was the sharpest, sanest one up there. While I like Mike Pence's spine and adherence to his beliefs, I disagree with his solutions.

Nikki was the only one that was intelligent enough to realize- this may be a primary debate, but who ever wins it needs to be able to win the general election.

And she knows that the other Republican Candidates are losing in the general because of their stance on Abortion.

I think Asa and Crisp Crispie also knows this, but she was the one that had the guts to say it!

There is nothing about that woman that I like.

She's just another Republican Stepford Wife from my perspective.
She won't even stand up for her own gender's reproduction rights.

This is from a person who HAS voted for a woman in a presidential election.

Agreed. Most of the rest will have to walk back all the red meat they were tossing last night to win a general election.

Much is made by the media on Trump's commanding lead of the Republican votership at about 60% but what no one seems to be pointing out is that Republicans make up less than a third of US voters. 60% of 30% is 18% of all US voters.

https://ballotpedia.org/Partisan_affiliations_of_registered_voters
As of October 2022, 48 million registered voters in these areas identified themselves as Democrats. At 38.78%, Democrats represented the single largest share of registered voters in the states and territories that allow voters to indicate partisan affiliation on their registration forms.
A total of 36.4 million registered voters identified themselves as Republicans, representing 29.42% of registered voters in these areas.
A total of 35.3 million registered voters identified themselves as independents or unaffiliated with any political party. This amounted to 28.55% of registered voters in these areas.
Approximately 4 million registered voters identified themselves as members of other political parties. This amounted to 3.25% of registered voters in these areas.

Actually, she did. She's against a Federal ban and wants to let the States decide even though she also said it's a personal decision. She pointed out how Republicans complain about too much Federal involvement in American lives then flip-flop about abortion.

She didn’t stand up, letting the states decide has resulted in Draconian laws that are endangering women. Red States aren’t listening to their constituents on the issues.

She's threading a needle, but she did say women shouldn't be charged with murder for having an abortion in another state.

That could easily change after November 2024. LOL

Abortion isn't the type of issue that I would normally care about.

I'm a fiscal progressive, not overly concerned with the purely social issues.

Denying a human being complete autonomy over her own body, however,

is a step too far for even me.

This is exacerbated by the abortion ban being influenced by religious beliefs

when I absolutely loathe theocracy.

In any case, I shouldn't call her a bad person when I don't know that much about her.
We simply don't share much in the way of political beliefs.

It's not sexism.

I voted for Secretary Clinton even though she was politically far to the right of me.
She was less to the right of me than Donald Trump.

Also, in terms of experience and competence, she was very highly qualified.
Law Degree [I really think this should be a requisite for any high elective office].
Senate experience.
Highest level cabinet member short of POTUS.

Agreed about individual rights to one's own body. This applies not only to abortion, but to drugs, prostitution and all other "victimless crimes".

Regulation and taxation to pay for the oversight is fine by me. Regulation ensures public safety from criminals, charlatans and quacks pushing things like COVID cures. It shouldn't stop people from making a choice about their own behavior that harms no one.

Women in those states can decide for themselves, they side with life

Stop shoving your views down the throats of the majority

Totally agree.

If I were running for President I'd propose something I call the 0th amendment.

An amendment to codify supreme ownership of one's self. It should be the most basic and fundamental of all rights. It nullifies slavery or indentured servitude, strengthens body autonomy/abortion arguments, and even strengthens self defense.

I do like it with one concern.
It would also, in all likelihood, exempt all of us from both personal and social responsibility.

Then again, I'm not sure that we have it anyway.
Free will is yet unproven.
