Evidence suggests the heartbreaking Maui wildfire was preventable. That should enrage the Democrat voters of Hawaii. I fear it will not.


This is the 21st century. We know how to do land management. We know how to prevent wildfires, or at least ensure they can be controlled and extinguished long before a Maui occurs. Sadly, we choose not to.

Therefore, in their pagan minds, human beings are nothing more than viruses, a threat to their god. This means that on their list of priorities, we humans come way behind the air, water, plants, animals, and even insects.

Almost one-quarter of 2022 power outages occurred in California. The state of California also came in first for the most power outages overall in the last 20 years: 2,684.Jan 13, 2023


California accounted for 24% of all U.S. power outages, and Texas accounted for 14%.

You guys try to paint the Maui issues as Dem issues, which is just stupid. This idea that if only it was a Republican run State it would not have problems.


To show you how stupid it is to try and make this partisan i post Texas issues in a GOP State.


You then in your VAST stupidity think you do a gotcha by saying California, a Dem state also has problems.

So do i now post another GOP state and you counter with another Dem one, so that you can FINALLY get it?

That is exactly what happened. The guy has been moved out of his position and on to another one. The mayor of Maui also faced an angry group of residents. This thing is unraveling very quickly. Long past time to throw these wokies out of any position of authority.

So, buried in your NPR source they admit that it was a general problem and that wind and solar did fail along with other suppliers and transmission systems because the cold snap was not something designers had planned for. So, your bullshit about "renewables" in itself an oxymoron, saving the day is exactly that, a bullshit lie.

The power company invested in green energy rather than removal of invasive grass. The dense under growth fueled the fire.

The truth is the Renewables under performed in the winter storm. Solar generation was low and wind was light and many wind turbines had their blades ice up. Our fossil fuel generation also under-performed some plants had icing pipes and gas producers had icing gas pipes which shut down delivery gas producers depended on commercial electricity and did not have generator back up to keep natural gas flowing.. Residential gas use has precedence over power plants so the limited gas production went to Residential customers.. The storm was colder longer and more widespread than ANY storm in Texas history. It exposed some weaknesses in the system. Those weaknesses are being addressed. Sometimes finding failure points require stressing the system.

Texas is in the middle of a heat wave. If our renewables fail to generate enough we don't have enough Fossil and Nuke generation to fill the demand.

This is just using the victims of the Lahaina fire as pawns. The fire was not preventable.
It was caused by high winds downing power lines and dry conditions with 60mph gusts coming from a passing hurricane. No amount of water would've stopped it. They also had plenty of water, being on the coast.

Fires occurred on all the islands on their dry side, but Lahaina took the most unfortunate hit.

This isn't about Democrats.

Lahaina is on the coast. They have water. People jumped into that water to get away from the firestorm raging through town with 60mph gusts.

The electrical grid of Texas didn't fail.
Wind generators are useless in icing conditions.

Solar power is not used much in Texas. It is the most expensive method of generating electricity there is, watt for watt. It's piddle power.
Wind is the 2nd most expensive, and also piddle power.

There was no 'dense undergrowth'. Ever since the cane sugar production was destroyed by the federal government in favor of corn for ethanol subsidies, the cane fields were abandoned to the weeds.
The dry side of the island is now just try twigs and sticks (some of which is now burned). No 'dense undergrowth'.
