The small convenience store near where I lived as a boy had a penny gum ball machine. Some of the gumballs therein were wrapped in foil.
If you got one of them, you could trade it for a nickel candy bar [that's what they cost back then circa early 1950s].
The store was owned by this portly bald guy whose daughter was my classmate in kindergarten and elementary school.
One time I accumulated about a half dozen foil- wrapped gumballs and tried to cash them in at once.
The store owner refused to cash them in, saying it had to be done as soon as it came from the machine.
How did he know that I didn't wrap the gumballs myself?
Fair enough, I said.
Then, over thirty cents worth of candy bars,
my grandfather didn't renew his lease or the lease on his brother's fish market further up the block.
The family moved out of the neighborhood entirely.

What I really think is cool is that children 3 - 12 today would even want to listen to the music from my generation that is 50 - 60 years old now.
My own grandchildren, of course, they range from 16 - 28 years old now, have copied most all of my lifelong cd collection to mp3 format so they can play them at their own leisure. I have over a thousand CDs. My kids love our old music! They spend a lot of time in my Music Studio when they visit.
