“The judge overseeing former President Donald J. Trump’s prosecution on charges of seeking to subvert the 2020 election admonished him against violating the conditions of his release put in place at his arraignment — including by making “inflammatory statements” that could be construed as possibly intimidating witnesses or other people involved in the case.”

“But Mr. Trump immediately tested that warning by posting a string of messages on his social media website, Truth Social”

“Mr. Trump is now probing the limits of what the criminal justice system will tolerate and the lines that Judge Chutkan sought to lay out about what he can — and cannot — say about the election interference case she is overseeing. He has waged a similarly defiant campaign against others involved in criminal cases against him”

“So far, Judge Chutkan has merely warned Mr. Trump against making “inflammatory statements” about the case or people involved with it, saying she would do what she needed to keep him from intimidating witnesses or tainting potential jurors.”

“Judge Chutkan made clear last week that the boundaries of Mr. Trump’s free speech rights, even as a political candidate, would have to give way to the rules of the court.”

“Mr. Trump, like every American, has the First Amendment right to free speech, but that right is not absolute,” she said. The limits, she added, included obeying the release conditions imposed at his arraignment and following her protective order governing the disclosure of discovery evidence in the case.”

But, but, but, there are two systems of Justice in the US, yeah, a forgiving one for Trump, and another for others

An ordinary citizen doesn't get Secret Service protection for life,

and a Secret Service officer is not going to work as a prison guard.

That's below his job grade.

Let's at least get permanent house arrest for the asshole and be happy with that.

For what?? Disagreeing with election results? Like Dems in 2000, 2004,m 2016...etc., etc.?

No, for violating terms of bail, did you forget, he has been indicted, and the Judge set the terms for his release, which he is flagrantly testing, most others would be back in custody

Try to keep up if you want to exchange

If Trump were an ordinary citizen, none of this shit would be happening at all to him...

Question: Since most of what the various thugs of prosecutors are charging him with was known and chargeable two plus years ago, why did they wait until the 2024 election cycle started to bring charges...?

While I've never had an exaggerated opinion of your intellect, Grok,
comparing Trump's criminal insurrection with anything else that has ever taken place in American Politics
is blatantly disingenuous even for you.

Trump is the only one to have committed obvious felonies.

If you like his ideological filth and ugliness,
then you have every right to not care about his crimes,
but even you must understand that he's a vile criminal.

If you don't, your mental deficiencies are far greater than even I suspected.

Sure it would, with being involved in over two thousand lawsuits, sooner or later the legal system was going to catch up to him

Because they had to investigate to see if, and what, legalities were involved, remember Mitch and Kevin on 1/7 rationalizing why they wouldn’t deal with Trump, saying it wasn’t Congress job to address Trump’s actions, but the law. And the documents case Trump bought on himself by stealing documents, lying about having the documents, and then trying to keep them

True. Ordinary people do not run for president. Glad you finally got something right.

Plenty of shit happened to him when he was an ordinary citizen and his 3,500 lawsuits prove it.
