Technically, your earlier statement was correct. See how that works?

As for all the flora on the Hawaiian islands, are you saying not a single plant there is exclusive to the islands? That none evolved from other plants?

Consider that the same can be said of all plant life in the Americas.

I am not a botanist I can't speak to the evolution of plants.

Only their origin of how they got there.

If you are saying the plants evolved to that exclusive place and are found nowhere else then I suppose you would be correct.

Which is the entire point and difference between native and invasive plants.

Most such isolated areas evolve an ecosystem that balances out. Invasive species of flora and fauna upset the balance. Zebra mollusks, Asian carp and Kudzu are three examples in the US.
