This Is the Most Wanted Car in America (and It’s Not Even Close).

When I bought my Dodge Daytona back in 2006, I test drove a Lotus Elise - it was about the same price. I'm 6 feet and at the time 205 lbs. Getting into the Lotus was damned near impossible. If I were 4'9" like Doc Dutch maybe, but a big guy like me just didn't fit.

The Daytona with pure Hemi power fits me - and I fit it.
And now you're a fatboy? Is that why you beat your wife, Fat Boy?

Electric cars have become increasingly popular over the past few years, with more and more drivers opting for these eco-friendly vehicles. Owning an electric car comes with numerous benefits, both for the environment and for the driver. From lower running costs to reduced emissions, the advantages of electric cars are clear. So, if you’re planning to go environmentally friendly, you’ll want to choose from the best electric cars on the market today.

It’s also important to note that the science of electric vehicle charging has made great progress in the last few years. Experts say one of the reasons drivers feel reluctant to switch from gas and diesel is because electric cars take so much longer to charge, but new research may have found a way to dramatically speed up the process. Researchers used machine learning techniques that analyze charging data to create unique charging methods. Results were promising, with the team seeing batteries charge to over 90 percent in 10 minutes without lithium plating or cathode cracking, according to study author Eric Dufek, Ph.D.

That's a '70 BOSS (hemi) 429.

A '71 MACH I was my first car. I had a '69 Fastback and a '67 Fastback Mustangs. The '67 had a 600 HP 429 Cobra Jet, Toploader 4-speed and a 4:30 Detroit Locker rear end. I should have kept it :(

My Grande got run over by a monster truck in a Kmart parking lot. I wasn't in it, thankfully. He was backing up and said he never saw it. The insurance burned me, I had put about $5 grand in aftermarket upgrades in it, tuck and roll, sound system, all the usual - but they only gave blue book - $2 grand. I was young, I should have sued them.

He's funny to read because he's insane.

Example:
The goal of the civil war democrats are waging is to fracture the US military so that it will not be effective against the Xi's legions. When the woke trannies that are Joe Biden's generals order troops to attack American civilians, the military will collapse. democrats wage war on America to make us weak for their master - Communist China.

OMIGOD!!! What a fucking nutjob. You can't even respond to someone that far gone. No wonder I put him on IGNORE.

The Republiclowns are becoming the Cult Party

He's also a sock, which means he's dishonest along with being stupid and a wife-beating loser. Sad.

Why do people like that gravitate to Trump?
In questions like that I find the best answer is found in what traits do they have in common?

  • Euro-American males.
  • Not-very-successful in life so they are often jealous. This may be relative; they feel they could have done better and blame others for their failures.
  • Not very well educated which is why Trump likes the "poorly educated".
  • They bigoted and frequently express their prejudices of other races, woman and anyone who isn't a straight, white male.
  • Their weaknesses explain why they like to belong to gangs, mobs, militias.

On JPP, they are often elderly and their wits are declining.

California hits record stride with EV sales volume

California continues to dominate the nation’s electric vehicle sales volume as the state achieved a first in the second quarter of the year.
Governor Gavin Newsom announced this week that, for the first time, California had sold one EV for every four cars sold in the last quarter.
It is a major step in the right direction for those in the state who have supported California’s ultimate goal of requiring all new vehicle sales to be electric or hybrid by 2035 in an attempt to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
California is showing the world what’s possible – fostering innovation and creating space for an industry to flourish,” Newsom said. “The proof is in the numbers: 1 in 4 new cars sold in our state are zero-emission – and thanks to our unparalleled incentives that make it cheaper than ever, we’re not leaving anyone behind.”
The 125,939 new energy vehicles sold last quarter bring the total sales in the state to well over 1.6 million units.

Try that with a gas car.

General Motors is adding capabilities to allow its new electric vehicles to send power from their batteries to the owner's home.

Known as V2H, or bidirectional charging, it's a relatively simple idea: an EV is a giant battery on wheels, so why not be able to use that to power other things? GM says the rollout will begin with model year 2024 EVs and will continue through to model year 2026.
There are actually a couple of different approaches to using an EV's battery to power non-car stuff. An increasing number of EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 or Volkswagen ID. Buzz offer AC outlets, and depending on the region, can provide either 120 V or 240 V power. That is usually known as vehicle to load, or V2L.
V2H amps things up a bit—quite literally—by sending power from the car back into a home electrical circuit, similar to a home storage battery.

California — traditionally the EV capital of the U.S. — seems to be in no mood to let go of its crown. New data released by the California Energy Commission*(CEC)*indicates that the state has witnessed a remarkable surge in the adoption of Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs), with one in four cars sold in the state now a ZEV. Additional data from the California New Car Dealers Association has also shown that the market share of ZEVs climbed from just 16.4% in 2022 — to 21.1% (YTD) in 2023. This is the first time that the market share of zero-emission vehicles has crept above the psychologically important 20% mark. Data from the CEC puts this figure at an ever higher 24.3%.
Tesla leads the pack in total ZEV sales in California, with the company's Model Y selling 74,488 units in Q2 2023 alone. The Tesla Model 3 came in at a distant second position, with 41,430 units sold during the same period. Non-Tesla cars that seem to have some impact on the market include the Chevrolet Bolt EUV (7082 units), the Jeep Wrangler (7341 units), the Volkswagen ID.4 (5902 units), and the Ford Mustang Mach E (5071 units).
While EVs continue to rise in popularity across California, some San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area counties show exceptional growth rates. Zero Emission Vehicles account for more than 40% of new car sales in many counties.

Demand for electric vehicles drives higher used-car sales

Sales of used electric cars rose 81.1 per cent between April and June, compared with the same period last year

A surge in demand for electric vehicles is driving the UK's second-hand car market, according to the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
During the second quarter of this year 1.83 million cars changed hands in Britain, a 4.1 per cent increase on the same April to June period last year.
Within that, 31,000 used battery electric cars were sold, which is an increase of 81.8 per cent. EVs now account for 1.7 per cent of the used-car market.
“It's great to see a recharged new car sector supporting demand for used cars and, in particular, helping more people to get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle,” said Mike Hawes, chief executive of the SMMT.
“Meeting the undoubted appetite for pre-owned EVs will depend on sustaining a buoyant new-car market and on the provision of accessible, reliable charging infrastructure powered by affordable, green energy.
“This, in turn, will allow more people to drive zero [emission cars] at a price point suited to them, helping accelerate delivery of our environmental goals.”
