It was a war, Earl. These are all reasons why wars should ONLY be started as a last resort.

I tried explaining that to all the Bush/war supporters back when both Afghanistan & Iraq were started - but all they did was call me a terrorist sympathizer & traitor. Now, they're all trying to critique the admin that cleaned up the mess Republicans started.

It's always tragic when Americans are lost in battle - but I think conservatives have spent more time focused on these 13 than they did about the THOUSANDS lost because of the terrible decisions they supported early on in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

The evacuation SHOULD have been ran out of Bagram not an indefensible municipal airport in Kabul. The chaotic scene led to the deaths of those 12 men and one woman and SEVERE injuries of several other soldiers.. Plus clear rules of engagement SHOULD have allowed the sniper that identified the bomber, before the attack, to take him out. But of course the sniper and his bosses did not know who could authorize him to shoot the bomber. And you are POLS. (Figure it out)

Armchair quarterbacking at its finest.

Would have taken 5,000 more troops to secure Bagram - and likely more casualties. And then you'd be criticizing that.

Any loss of life is tragic - but to get out of a war-torn, unstable nation with 13 casualties - after a near 20-year conflict - is actually pretty remarkable.

Meanwhile, I'm guessing you supported both Afghanistan & Iraq in the 1st place. We lost THOUSANDS due to those bad decisions, and I doubt you've ever posted about that.
