Ex policeman unrepentant as he gets 5 years in George Floyd killing

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Tou Thao, the last former Minneapolis police officer convicted in state court for his role in the killing of George Floyd, did not show any repentance or admit any wrongdoing as he was sentenced Monday to 4 years and 9 months.

“I did not commit these crimes,” Thao said. “My conscience is clear. I will not be a Judas nor join a mob in self-preservation or betray my God.”

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill, who found Thao guilty in May of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter, said he was hoping “for more than preaching” from Thao on Monday.

“After three years of reflection, I was hoping for a little more remorse,” he said.

George Floyd was a blight on society. The individual who could have stopped it was the Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz. Once he got his head our of his ass three days later he called out the National Guard and it was over that night.

Meanwhile, BLM member Michael Byrd who summarily executed Ashli Babbitt continues to walk free with no charges.

One nation, two VERY different systems of law.

The Police Have No Duty To Protect You!

U.S. Supreme Court has also ruled that police have no specific obligation to protect.


“Neither the Constitution, nor state law, impose a general duty upon police officers or other governmental officials to protect individual persons from harm — even when they know the harm will occur,”

He had NO DUTY to protect Floyd from ANYTHING....FACT! He could have stood there and laughed and it wouldn't be breaking any law!


So what law die he break?


If he was aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. So was everyone else standing around

don't cherry pick the statement. the actual opinion notes 'absent some relationship', as in being in custody, which floyd was currently in.

wrong. you're exposing your complete lack of knowledge of the laws, court opinions, and the Constitution. you're also showing your badge blowing status.
