Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida clearly stated in a new interview that Donald J. Trump lost the 2020 election, diverging from the orthodoxy of most Republican voters as the former president’s struggling G.O.P. rivals test out new lines of attack against him.

“Of course he lost,” Mr. DeSantis said in an interview with NBC News published on Monday. “Joe Biden’s the president.”

Most Republicans know this at this point - but few have the courage to say anything & risk the wrath of Trump's brainwashed cult.

Not a fan of DeSantis, but kudos to him for saying it out loud, and not shying away from the potential negative impact w/ the base.

Took him WAY too long.
 
DeSantis has nowhere else to go. This running against Trump for the nomination while remaining loyal to him at the same time was always a fool’s strategy. Watch the others bow out of the “being nice” game.

He said that because his rich elitist globalist donors told him to say that... They told him to "become more moderate", so that's what he's doing now.

He's a puppet of the globalist Uniparty elites. Jeb! 2016 = Ron! 2024.

Meh. I'm still voting for the guy who the Uniparty has been relentlessly going after since 2015... the guy who they are now turning into a martyr. Trump 2024 or bust!

DeSantis is only doing what his rich elitist globalist donors tell him to do. Nothing more, nothing less. He was told to "be more moderate", so now that's what he's doing. Meh.

I prefer my candidates to have a mind of their own and to not be beholden to any elitist globalist big-donor interests... Ergo, my support for President Trump.

He doesn't have a thought of his own anymore, as evidenced by his awkwardness and complete lack of authenticity whenever he speaks nowadays.

DeSantis, ever since he decided to run against Trump (since AT LEAST December 2021, probably years earlier than that even), has not been loyal to the MAGA movement). He has now sided with the elitist globalist Uniparty. He is now dead to me.

Seems that the whole Uniparty is deathly afraid of Trump... resorting to lawfare to try to remove their only political opponent from the ballot.
