Trump did trade our Ally, Qatar, to Saudi Arabia, to force them to reverse a denial of a $2B to Jared Kushner. It worked and Qatar quickly got Kushner the $2B.

Anyone who thinks Trump would protect Taiwan, if China simply said 'name your personal price Trump' is a fool. Trump would always choose personal riches and gain over anything for the country.

The United States need superpowers to declare war on us first [as in WWII]
