China, Russia send naval warships near Alaska

It isn't really concerning that these two nations were conducting a joint operation near Alaska because nations test other nation's response times quite frequently.

What is concerning is the cooperation between Russia and China.

My prediction is that China is probably going to take Taiwan soon and with Russia backing them up the US would essentially be powerless to do anything other than apply sanctions.

Given that Biden is in the pocket of the Chinese that is doubtful to happen.

We really need Trump back in office.

China and Russia conducted a joint naval operation near U.S. territory earlier this week, triggering a large response from the U.S. Navy, Fox News Digital has learned.

The joint operation, conducted by two significant American adversaries, consisted of 11 ships and neared Alaska's southwestern coast, according to Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, who was briefed on the matter earlier this week by U.S. defense officials. Sullivan said the U.S. Navy ultimately mobilized four destroyers to guide the Chinese and Russian ships away from American waters.

"This is unprecedented in terms of the size and scope of this joint naval task force between Russia and China, working very closely together," Sullivan told Fox News Digital in a phone interview late Saturday. "Whether you live in Alaska like I do, or on the East Coast of the United States, a very large surface action task force between our two main adversaries, probing very closely to United States shores is concerning."

Russia and China are integrating their economies and their militaries.....this is what losing Russia to China looks like....this is what Americas Failed Elite Class has done.

Buckle Up.

I heard Scott Ritter say that Russia has a better airforce than we do which I had not heard before.

I knew that Russias air defense system is better than ours is.

I knew this was coming when I saw the two nations were having multiple meetings months ago.

I believe they are indeed forming an alliance.

All we have is NATO which is essentially just America's military for all intents and purposes.

Biden royally screwed up here.

He should have been on top of this and defused it.

It's going to become a mess for America.

What has happened to NATO and America's military has happened over decades, blaming much of anything on the last 2.5 is trollish.

And the situation is almost certainly worse than you think.

Failing in Ukraine is just the tip of the iceberg.

I agree it's just the tip of the iceberg.

If these two do in fact have or are forming a military alliance it's going to change the geopolitics of the entire planet.

All we have on our side our some stupid Brits more interested in dumping milk in grocery stores then being a world power any more.

NATO is a joke, it's as powerful as the league of nations was.

We should have listened to Trump and left it.

Plenty of U.S. military bases in close proximity to Taiwan. The only way China can take it is if Biden is still president.

That would require actually fighting China if they move on Taiwan and if they are backed by Russia......well.....doesn't really matter how many bases we have there does it?

I mean China doesn't even need Russia's help to hold us off but it would be way worse for us if they did have it.

Once China starts tanking our economy that will be a sure sign they are moving militarily.

Also expect cyber attacks to increase, they have been perfecting that for awhile now.

Those bases on your map will probably be gone in short order.

IMO, China and Russia will never be true allies. It's more like Stalin's and Hitler's non-aggression pact, known as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. And we all know how that worked out.

China is secretly itching to take back Land that it lost to Russia.

China isn't going to go to war with Russia, they are more interested in the South China Sea region from what I can tell.

At this particular moment in time, I agree with you.

However, China will take advantage of a weakened Russia when the timing is right, IMO.

"Moscow seldom hesitated to confront Beijing and, the stronger it was, the more it was willing to confront directly. Russia has grabbed roughly one million square miles from China in the treaties of Aigun and Beijing in 1858-1860 – an area called “Outer Manchuria,” the northern periphery of Manchuria up until that point – and the territory has hitherto been known as the Russian Far East, with Vladivostok and Khabarovsk established there by Russian colonists. Chinese historiography still considers these treaties as “unequal treaties,”

They've really no reason to.

China's population is declining so they aren't hurting for room, the bulk of resources over there are located in the Balkan States and it's never a good idea to piss off a powerful neighbor.

There is no reason for them to go after Russia.

Besides, their conflict at the moment is with India and they are both wanting the influence in the South China Sea area, an area Russia really has no interest in.

Once China begins making moves whoever the president is at that time will have some tough decisions to make.

I think China is waiting to see if Trump or Biden wins the election.

If it's Biden they will have a free pass if it's Trump they will probably wait.

I agree, the timing is not right at this moment.

IMO, the pop. growth is irrelevant.

I am not sure as I haven't researched it yet but I don't think China is hurting for resources.
