The left's assault against Christians continues

You are a nutter, Marty.

Muslim envy?

The religion is called Islam. Not all Muslims are Islamists.

I know no one who envies that gutter religion.

Poor Marty.

Just like no Trumper Christians are really Christians?

Now libraries are banning Kirk Cameron, a well known Christian activist from promoting his books.

A public library in darkest Alabama announced that it cannot accommodate a book-reading event by an evangelical author and sometime actor because of the number of worshipers expected to attend.

"Initially, the organizers of the event reported 20 attendees to library officials. On Tuesday the Library learned that event organizers are now expecting over 300 people, a number that far exceeds any meeting room capacity within the Huntsville-Madison County Library System."

Then Fox News got hold of the story (they never tell a lie, you know). Now it’s an existential threat to American Christians, not to mention “Moms for Liberty” (whoever they are). I bet the Deep State comes into it somewhere.

Well done, Peach, you excelled yourself.

Oh boy, a person was denied a stage of promotion. What kind of soft little daisy thinks this is persecution? As a Christian, I find this to be rather insulting to all those Christians that are actually persecuted in places that aren't America.

So you think govt should be in then business of censorship? Oh course you do youre infected with syphilis of the brain otherwise known as leftism.

You're clearly either very stupid or a big liar since that's not what happened nor what Jade was saying.

Did you even read the article, Yak? Or do you just read the headlines and instantly become full of rage?

People have no responsibility to allow free access to their own forums and venues.
That's neither a free speech nor a persecution issue.
That's a simple choice issue.

I wouldn't want some right wing Christian conservative blathering from atop my front porch.
However, if Bernie wanted to give a speech from there, he could set his own terms.
I'd order his lunch from the best Jewish deli in Boston.
That's how America works.

https://www.wrbl.com/news/alabama-n...acity-issues-attorney-threatens-legal-action/ ...interesting read... sounds like it was kind of a personal thing against Kirk and Riley.... I hope they come to Columbus we have plenty of room here huge libraries and I would love for our swim team to meet Riley!!!

It's also not the first time it's happened to Kirk either.

He's had to hold book readings outside because a library wouldn't let him in.

I believe he and his book company have sent a letter of complaint to whatever agency runs the library and depending on the response they will receive they will determine if a lawsuit should be filed.

I am not 100% certain on this however.

Not that it matters for anything, but I've NEVER liked that kid.

I did notice that there is a history of libraries giving him a hassle... I wonder what the real issue is?

He'll lose. His group didn't file the proper paperwork for a large gathering. At best, they grossly underestimated how many people would attend. At worst, they lied to the library about the size of the crowd expected.

Libraries allow drag queens... it can't be his haircut...

Just a wild guess, TOP.

What I do know is that free speech doesn't afford one access to every forum and venue that one might want to access.
BTW, have you got the film Bird Cage?
It's really great.

It's a push against Christians and religion.

These government agencies are embracing the new alphabet people and Christians are counter to that.

I give a lot of credit to Kirk Cameron for sticking to his faith and not giving up however.

I believed he became born again when he was 17 and it got him fired from his popular show but he has never lost the faith.

That takes a lot of strength.
