This story concerns a small town call Newbern that is located in the state of Alabama.
In 2023 the population of Newbern in about 275, of which roughly 80% are Black (African-Americans) and 20% are White (European) Americans.
There had not been an election for Mayor held in Newberg for some 60 years before 2020, when Patrick Braxton, a Black man, was appointed Mayor of Newberg in October, 2020.
Braxton was the only person to submit the appropriate qualifying paperwork for the position of Mayor (of Newberg) to the municipal authority before the deadline that year.
The incumbent Mayor, White (European) Americans did not bother to submit any of the requisite paperwork to run for the office of Mayor. The reason for this is that for the preceding 60+ years it had become customary for the title of Mayor to be simply passed from one individual to anyone - in the White community of the town - who would agree to be major with our an election.
Given that Newbern had been a Black-majority town for the 50+ years before Patrick Braxton became Mayor in 2020 unopposed; you really do have to wonder why for all these years the Blacks in Newbern did not even know that they could vote for Mayor ????
I think the behaviour of the former Mayor, some of his town councillors, and other White acquaintances, in waging a campaign of harassment and obstruction against Mayor Braxton has been appallingly childish; spiteful and vindictive. Former Mayor Stokes and his crew have behaved like a gang of bitchy "Mean Girls" in the methods they have used to prevent the new incumbent Mayor - Patrick Braxton from carrying out his job. "Woody" Stokes needs to grow a pair of balls - then: "build a bridge and get over it."
Stokes and Co. would have done much better to accept that they had been
very lucky for the past 50 years, but now the game was up.
FINIS. Rather than waste their time caring on like spoilt brats they should just have accepted that they would need to relocate from Newberg, asap.
WHY? Well, it's Blacks in America (or any other advanced Western nation) are incapable of competently exercising any kind of of political leadership (unless they they are carefully supervised by Whites. The great, former, "Motor City," Detroit, is a good example. When Black Democrats took over political control of the city beginning in the 1970's, the place began just fell apart-

South Africa is another example, though on a bigger scale.When Nelson Mandela and his Black Nationalist ANC were elected to rule the "Democratic Republic of South Africa" in 1994, South Africa was doomed - it just didn't know it at the time. Today, in 2023, South Africa is teetering on the cusp of "Failed State" state status. In other word, it it is a gigantic, hole Shit-Hole" as Donald Trump would say. It was inevitable as the large majority of Black Africa are simply incapable of competent self-government.
The same thing will happen on the other end of the scale, in the tiny town of Newberg, Alabama. If the future Mayor and Town Councillors are Black (and they will be, because the population there is about 80% Black) then what social order and civil decency there once were, will evaporate and Newberg will become a disorderly "brothel."
BTW, I'm not a racist in the sense that I hate all human beings who are Black or Brown - I don't. In what I have written above, I'm just telling like it is, dude. That is, telling you what is REAL - what has happened for REAL in the past, and from this what it is reasonable to predict will happen in the future.
