Very probably. To untie the immunity agreement from the felony gun charge diversion agreement--what the judge most objected to--means that the two misdemeanor tax evasion charges could then result in Bagman going to prison (very likely given the judge's previous comments) for several years along with being hit with a whopping big fine.
It would also mean that the immunity agreement wouldn't be binding on the court or outside agencies.
It was set up very carefully by the DOJ and defense lawyers to immunize Bagman from further investigation while trying to avoid letting the judge impose a harsher sentence on him. That's all that 'b' versus 'a' versus 'c' stuff in the court minutes. To get immunity without linking the two, the judge will be given latitude to toss Bagman in prison and fine him--very likely outcomes. They want to avoid that, while still having the immunity going on.
I can't see how they'll work that out.
It was never a "sweetheart" deal. The only reason Trump's Traitors focus on Hunter is to distract from Trump's treason. Notice how every JPP Trumper focusing upon Hunter's crimes always denies Trump's crimes.

I do not support Hunter Biden other than I think he is getting a raw deal just because he is the presidents son. Nobody else would be prosecuted for income tax that he repaid with interest and penalitites. Nobody not famous would be prosecuted on the weapons charge.

I don't support Hunter either but disagree he got a raw deal. Yes, the Republicans pursued a private citizen for political purposes but that doesn't change the fact Hunter is a tax cheat, a felon with a gun and a deadbeat dad just like the indictments against Trump don't change the fact he was a pedophile in the 80s and 90s.

What was so bad about the deal he was offered? There as no prison time involved. IMO, Hunter should spend at least 6-12 months in prison. It would be good for him.
